Ok, the suggestion forum has been a bit slow this week. So far, voices of a distant star, escaflowne and outlaw star have been suggested, by myself and sean. I'll be putting up the poll tomorrow so if anyone has any ideas, objections etc...let me know

Please ignore the previous two messages sent from the announce AMS list. They are an unfortunate side effect of leaving an email account logged in and unattended in a public area. Also, as you have heard, there will be pizza and drinks in AMS tonight for the Hallowe'en showings. And could anyone who wishes to buy a ticket for the Societies Ball off of AMS please announce their intentions or pay before Tuesday. There are currently 13 tickets remaining. Tonights Showings

Ok here we go! Thursday Night's showings will be: Hellsing: Episodes 1-4 Plot Summary: Hellsing follows the antiheroic vampire, Alucard, and a police girl-turned-vampire, Seras Victoria, two vampires employed by the vampire-extermination group of England, the Hellsing Organization. Slowly but surely, through their active duty, they find a new breed of vampires beginning to arise. Deathnote: Episodes 1-4* Plot Summary:* Light Yagami (Or Raito) is an ace student with great aspects who's bored out of his mind. One day he finds the Death Note a notebook held by a shinigami (Death God). with the Death Note in hand, Light decides to create a perfect world. A world without crime or criminals. However when criminals start dropping dead one by one, the authorites send the legendary detective L to track down the killer. Would anyone who has these please bring them in for the showing! On a personal note, it's my first showing so I expect alot of you people to show up. In other news, there is a possibility (quite a strong one in fact) that we will have pizza tonight... The society also has 15 tickets for the Societies Ball for those of you who are interested * *

This weeks EGM

Just a reminder about this weeks EGM. It takes place just before the showings, in the Seminar room, upstairs in the Hub at 7. As you all know there are two postitions being contested; Film Officer and First Year Liason. Tonights Showings

Sorry for the late email folks. Tonight we will be watching the first four episodes of Boogiepop Phantom and a second surprise anime. As usual, it will be held in the Seminar Romm upstairs in the Hub. I hope to see everyone there tonight. Sean -- I laugh in the face of 1000 suns!

Upcoming EGM

Hi all, I'd just like to inform you all of AMS's upcoming EGM. This will take place on Thusday the 19th of October. There are two committee positions available at the meeting. The first of which anyone can run for, the second of which is only available to first years. Film Officer: This officer will be in charge of, among other things, organising the showings that will take place on a weekly basis. Booking the projector, aquiring the anime, etc. He will also be charged with the task of conducting the showings. First Year Liason: This position is available only to first years. This person will be charged with encouraging first years to take a greater part in the society. They will be the first years representitive on the committee. I would like to encourage all members to come along and have their say in the runnings of the Society and their opinions heard. Hope to see you there, Sean -- I laugh in the face of 1000 suns!
