Ok theres a new poll up in the forum, you know what to do by now. Results
will be announced Wednesday morning/evening depending on how work goes. Anyway
until then.....
Ed.
Hey all,
Wpuld have emailed you yesterday but I was in work and I'm having some trouble
with my laptop. Anyway this week we'll be watching Sky Blue/Wonderful Days
(we'll decide on the night), there was a tie in the poll so this week we'll
show Galaxy Express 999, Rosen Maiden will be placed in the poll for next
week.
Galaxy Express 999 - One word can describe this movie and that is weird.
I recorded this movie one day because it was a Japanese animation and it
was old so I thought it would be interesting. Well it was, the movie is about
a young boy who travels the universe to get a metal body so he can seek revenge.
On the way he meets very colorful characters and must ultimately decide if
he wants the body or not. Very strange, if you are a fan of animation/science-fiction
you might want to check this out. (sorry - thats the best plot summary I
could get!)
Sky Blue/Wonderful Days - Earth is on the brink of extinction due to pollution
and environmental disasters. In order to survive, humans create a shielded
city called Ecoban that organically grows on its own, feeding on the earth¡¯s
pollution. However, only a select few are allowed to live in the shielded
city, leaving many to perish in the waste of the wilderness. Soon, there
are reports that pollution levels are dropping, giving people hope that the
entire Earth will once again be safe to live in. Conflicts arise after some
city officials decide to continually pollute the earth so they can enjoy
the prestige of living inside of Ecoban. Meanwhile, an intruder breaks into
Ecoban as security frantically rushes to the scene of the crime. Jay, one
of the leaders of the security unit, chases down the intruder only to find
out that it¡¯s her first love, Suha. Previously assumed dead, Suha returns
to Ecoban as a criminal, reminding Jay of his promise to her; that one day
he will show her a blue sky, something that has been gone for too long. Now
Jay feels torn between her long lost love and her civil duty as city security.
Furthermore, Simon, the head of security and also in love with Jay, finds
out about Suha¡¯s existence. (thhere are some differences between SB and
WD but you have the idea)
Right so see you all tonight, remember we are in CG12 this evening.
Ed.
Hey All,
Sorry about the late notice but this week we'll be watching Ghost In The
Shell: Stamd Alone Complex: 2nd Gig and Sky Blue (we're actually watching
the original called Wonderful Days). Its usual time, usual place.
AMS may have to be cancelled next week unless we come up with an alternative
venue we'll let you know.
Sky Blue:
In the future, after the human civilization ended by war and pollution, only
those few people who had the power and technology escaped the disaster. Those
people built the last human city of Ecoban. As its energy source is the pollutant,
the people of Ecoban plan to destroy the inhabitants of Marr to get more
pollutant. Standing against Ecoban is a young man who wants only to clear
the skies of the clouds to show the wonderful heavens to the girl he loves.
Ghost In The Shell: Plot Summary:
In the future, life between the digital and physical world has been blurred.
The boundary of technology and humanity has been stretched beyond imagination
with lives being led in both the electronic and physical worlds. With the
melding of man and machine ? a new cybernetic level of existence is being
created - An existence that continues to redefine mankind.
See you all later.
Ed.
Hey everyone,
The poll has decided that you will be watching Final Fantasy VII: The Last
Order and Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex; 2nd GIG Eps. 1-3, (They
recieved 25% of the votes between them). Full Metal Alchemist did recieve
25% but I've some concerns about the quality of it so it won't be shown.
Should the time present itself we will also watch some of Outlaw Star which
has been highly reccommended by some of our members.
Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex; 2nd GIG Eps. 1-3

Final Fantasy VII: The Last Order
Last Order: Final Fantasy VII is an addition to the Final Fantasy VII: Advent
Children film and part of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. It is an
Original Video Animation that was released with the "Ultimate Edition" of
the movie (so called "Advent Pieces: Limited"). It is an anime rendition
of two flashbacks that took place in the game. One explains what happened
five years before the game took place. It revolves around the event that
took place in Nibelheim involving Zack, Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart and Sephiroth.
The other shows Zack and Cloud escaping from Shin-Ra. The anime cuts back
and forth between these two, linked by Tseng as he reflects on both events.
Outlaw Star
