Hey guys,
How's things? Everyone enjoying the weather? Stressing over exams?
Doing the same thing you've done every week? Well, that's what we're
doing anyway, this week is the final OFFICIAL showings for AMS this
college year.
As such we've done our best to come up with a pleasing list of things
to watch this week, and if you're lucky there may even be pizza
provided so come along at the same time as usual, 6 till 10 in C165!
With regards to the shows we will be watching, they will hopefully be,
"Samurai Jack", "Tiger and Bunny" and, "Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure",
for more information on all, or if you just want to argue with us and
get uus to watch something else instead, head on over to the forums
here:

For those who were expecting Kara no Kyoukai, I apologise. For
everyone else, Hope to see you all tomorrow!
Sorry for the late mail,
Your Film Officer
Céilí Braidwood
Hey guys,
I'll get the main news out of the way first, THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE
TO TELL US IF YOU WANNA JOIN US ON OUR TRIP TO LONDON TO THE MCM
LONDON EXPO!
> A limited number of DCU students may be eligible to additional
> funding from AMS to support travel costs and entry. In the event
> that funding is available, it will be offered on a first come, first

> please email us at ams(a)redbrick.dcu.ie with your name, as it is on
> your passport. We will be booking next week so if you haven't let us

> commit to anything. :)
In other news, we elected a brand new committee during last weeks AGM
and they'll be taking over next year so if you're gonna be around next
year here's a list of who's who:
Chairperson: Cillian Donlon
Secretary: Shannon Walsh
Treasurer: Kin Hang Tang
Film Officer: Katie Connolly
Librarian: (Will be elected at EGM)
Public Relationships Officer: Conor Parks
Ordinary Member: Gaelle Izabelle
Since it's the second last week of official showings, I'd like to
remind everyone once again to please RETURN ANY BORROWED DVD'S OR
MANGA. If you don't bring them back by week 12 we will send our
dedicated librarian, Shannon Walsh, to seek you out and beat you until
you surrender the missing goods. :|
Also, for anyone who missed out when they first arrived, we still have
a limited number of AMS badges left for sale, they're €1 each, just
ask a committee member if you're interested.
And finally for what is always the least important part of these
emails, (it's okay guys, I know you never read them anyway) Showings
for this week will be Katanagatari and Detroit Metal City. If you wish
to add to the usual complaints about showing choices or to add your
own wishes for future showings you're welcome to check out the thread
at the forums here: http://eirtakon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1057
Showings will of course be at the usual time of 6 till 10 at the usual

Hope to see you all there,
Your Film Officer,

Hey guys,

not too panicked over projects and exams, to help you relax, we have
our usual weekly slice of anime this week but we also need to get the
AGM out of the way so everyone try to get there on time this week so
you don't miss out on all the voting and stuff!
If anyone is interested in going for one of the committee positions
for next year but hasn't told us yet, no worries, you can still mail
us about it at ams(a)redbrick.dcu.ie or, if you're extremely lazy, you
can just wait till the day and surprise us all, either way, the AGM
will be starting at 6 and anime will be put on as soon as the AGM is
over so don't be late!
And just a reminder, the following committee positions will be
contested in the election;
Chairperson

we will be watching one of the less well known Ghibli films, "My
Neighbours The Yamadas", a slice of life type anime as far as I know!
after that we will also be watching either Bakemonogatari or
Katanagatari, depending on which is preferred! For more information
on those, or to make suggestions for next weeks anime, you can check
out the forums here:
http://eirtakon.com/forums/showthread.php?p=22194#post22194

how we can improve.
The following committee positions will be contested in the election;
- Chairperson
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Librarian

*MCM London Expo Comic Con*
*
*
On the last weekend of May, AMS intends to make our annual trip to London to
visit the MCM Expo Comic Con. As usual, this event clashes with the last day
of DCU exams so we will be unable to make bookings until the final exam
timetable has been announced.
If you are interested in attending MCM Expo with us, please email us stating
your provisional intention and the name used on your Passport. Additionally,
a limited number of DCU students may be eligible to additional funding from
AMS to support travel costs and entry. In the event that funding is
available, it will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.
*AMS Library*

Lastly, if any of you have any loans outstanding from the AMS library, manga
or DVDs, we would ask you to please return them before the end of semester.
I hope to see all of you at our AGM next week.
Regards,
Seán Hand
Treasurer
