Hey Folks,
Hope you all had a great Halloween! In my previous email I mentioned that
AMS will be having a nightout the Thursday before Reading week, which is
the Thursday coming. Due to Eirtakon being upon us, it's best to prospone
the nightout until a further date as this week and next week will be busy
with committee meets with the con.
The nightout should take place the Thursday 27th of November, which is 2
weeks after Eirtakon, so it gives you time to recover. ;-p There is a poll
to either go to Ukiyo the karaoke bar or the Porterhouse after Yamamori.

Hey guys,
There are two spare tickets to the clubs n socs ball if anyone is interested,
they are 55E. There is already a good few members from our society going
so itll be good craic. If your interested, email me at alienorgan(a)gmail.com.
The ball is on the 4th of November and buses will be leaving the Helix from
5 pm.
Also the deadline for the Mascot has been extended to Nov 16th. See link
below for thread to post mascot designs in. The images can even just be sketches...it
doesn't have to look professional or anything. It can always be touched up
later ^^

Hey all!
My name is Amy aka Butterscotch on the AMS forum, I am the Events Officer
for AMS. I would like to welcome old and new to the society. I hope you all
have fun times at AMS! I am going to fill you in an exciting events that
we have planned for the year.
First of there is going to be a Halloween Cosplay night on the 30th of October,
come along to the showings cosplaying as a Halloween style anime character
or Lolita! There will be Halloween goodys and horror anime. Here is the thread

Cosplay is optional but please cosplay it will be fun! ;-p
Secondly they will be a "Break the Ice Meet", a social night out for the
society to get to know each other. This will take place the Thursday before
Reading Week, heading to Yamamori for food then afterwards maybe go karaoke
singing in Ukiyo bar or the Porterhouse for drinks, we will have a vote on
it near the time.
Thirdly, not forgetting the biggest anime and manga event of the year Eirtakon!
Eirtakon is a very successful and fun event and will be hosted by AMS. This
exciting event runs from the 14th to the 16th of November and takes place
in the Hub DCU. This is an event not to be missed by any anime and manga
fan! For the newbies of Eirtakon here are information on it;

We are also going to organise a trip away to London Expo in May, which will
be a great expereince! More details will follow near the event.
Throughout the year there will be many other cosplay and social events such
as a Christmas cosplay night and a big night out maybe bowling, ice skating
again there will be votes.
If anyone has any ideas they would like to pass on events, great places to
go to or comments please let me know! ^^

GTO, ef - tales of a memories and depending on the amount of time, Karas.
Showing are in the Seminar Room which is locaed in the Hub on the second floor. Showings should start at around 7 - 7:30 depending on the EGM.
