Hey all!

My name is Amy aka Butterscotch on the AMS forum, I am the Events Officer for AMS. I would like to welcome old and new to the society. I hope you all have fun times at AMS! I am going to fill you in an exciting events that we have planned for the year.

First of there is going to be a Halloween Cosplay night on the 30th of October, come along to the showings cosplaying as a Halloween style anime character or Lolita! There will be Halloween goodys and horror anime. Here is the thread if you want to discuss about it, http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~ams/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=154. Cosplay is optional but please cosplay it will be fun! ;-p

Secondly they will be a "Break the Ice Meet", a social night out for the society to get to know each other. This will take place the Thursday before Reading Week, heading to Yamamori for food then afterwards maybe go karaoke singing in Ukiyo bar or the Porterhouse for drinks, we will have a vote on it near the time.

Thirdly, not forgetting the biggest anime and manga event of the year Eirtakon! Eirtakon is a very successful and fun event and will be hosted by AMS. This exciting event runs from the 14th to the 16th of November and takes place in the Hub DCU. This is an event not to be missed by any anime and manga fan! We are also going to organise a trip away to London Expo in May, which will be a great expereince! More details will follow near the event.

Throughout the year there will be many other cosplay and social events such as a Christmas cosplay night and a big night out maybe bowling, ice skating again there will be votes.
