For those of you attending the LAN Gaming Night tonight in Wired here is a map to the cafe:

Night starts at 9pm and finishes at 8am next morning. Please don't turn up any later than 11pm. You are free to leave any time you wish during the night :-)
By the way our policy on spectators/friends you bring along is strict for tonight. Very strict :o) You must have arranged it with one of the cmte beforehand.

Hi guys,
Just another quick email (and a rather short notice one, apologies) to let you know that we are having the 2nd last LAN Gaming Night of this semster on Friday. This will be a very special event because it co-incides with the Oblivion Counter-Stike League 2, being held that night. With this happening we have at least 10 participants from 2 Irish Counter-Strike clans coming on the night to play from the net cafe. Because of this we expect places to sell out quite fast for this event in particular. It promises to be a really good night for those of you who like a bit of Counter-Strike ;-)
So basically, the signup for the event will start tomorrow at 1pm and will only run until 2pm. Please do note that. Because we already have the 10 people coming from Clan AddictioN and Alert.cs quite a few members have asked for places to be kept. The usual policy does however stand and they must be there at 1pm to pay for a place which means the remaining places will only be a few and should sell out in no time.
Price is 5eur per member for the night.
Table will be in the Street in Henry Grattan building.

LAN Night starts at 9pm. Go here http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~zyox/pictures/WiredMap.jpg for a map of how to get there with the nice landmarks pointed out to help you. Follow the blue line if you're getting a bus from DCU.
There are still roughly 11 places left. If you still want to attend don't bother signing up, just turn up about 9pm or 9:30pm but this does not obviously guarantee you a place. But don't get too scared, I'm pretty sure you'll get one if you turn up but I just can't guarantee.

Final day for signup for the Lan this coming Friday (7th November) will take place today from roughly 12pm-4pm in the street in the henry grattan building. We have several places left so if any of you missed your chance to sign up please do now. :)

Nearly half of our places for the LAN night have been sold. The table will be running again tomorrow in The Street in the Henry Grattan building (beside AIB) if you wish to pay for a place. We expect them to sell out tomorrow or the next day so the table will be in operation from 2pm-5pm.

The lan will run from 9pm on Friday, through the night, until 8am on Saturday morning. Members can turn up any time after 9pm but before 10:30pm at the latest. You are free to leave any time during the night if you so desire (for the weaklings ;-)) This promises to be a quality LAN for Games Soc especially with the prospect of a DCU Counter Strike team emerging soon, this would be the ideal night to come along and show us what you got going for yourself CS-wise. Of course we won't just be limited to CS. There will, undoubtedly, be plenty of Battlefield 1942, Desert Combat, C&C Generals, Halo, Multi Theft Auto, and anything else we find that's playable on the machines :)
We will operate the same signup system as before, 5eur per head for DCU Games Soc members and 12eur for non-members (ie. if you want to bring a friend). We fill at 25 players so sign up real soon if you wish to go. A table shall be set up in The Street in the Henry Grattan Building (beside AIB Bank) on Monday (tomorrow) between 1pm and 5pm if you wish to sign up. We ask for cash up front, no exceptions. You pay on the spot and you guarantee a place on the night :o)
Just a friendly reminder that the last signup only took 4 hours for us to fill the event. So get cracking if you want to be sure to get a place.
