Just in case you guys have forgotten, or just don't care ;), the Games
Soc AGM is on tomorrow, Wednesday, starting at 8pm in the Seminar Room.
Come along and use your voice to tell us what you thought of Games Soc
this year, perhaps even run for a position; there will be the usual console
gaming session afterwards too, so there'll be something to do while we
bore you with elections. Hope to see a good turnout!

Our annual general meeting(AGM) is on:
*** Wednesday 23rd (April) in the Seminar Room, the Hub ***
At it, we will be electing a new committee for the coming year, as well
as making any other decisions that need to be made for the society. I
urge you all to come, and consider either running for a position, and
help out the society get even better, or simply come to talk to the
committee if you have ideas on events etc for Games Soc.
the positions up for grabs are:
Chair,
Secretary,
Treasurer,
PRO,
Events/Equipment,
Webmaster
(check the forums for more details).
Afterwards, we will be having our regular Console Gaming taking place,
complete with our large screen projectors and GameCube ;)
PS - If you don't know where the Seminar Room is, go into the Hub, up
the stairs and it's the large room in front of you to your right at the
top of the stairs. Look for the darkened windows and screams from
gamers;)
Looking forward to seeing you there,
Andrew MacCann, Chair, DCU Games Society

This is just a quick mail of thanks to all you guys that attended the
games night on thursday night. It was good fun, and hoped that you all
enjoyed yourself at it.
A quick apology for the net café kicking us out at 6, we were never
informed of this, and hope that none of you were stuck for getting home
or getting buses. We will have some words with ye@h at some point about
that.
But otherwise, thanks for coming, and our next event will be our usual
console gaming night in the seminar room in the Hub. It's on on
Wednesday, and starts at 8pm sharp.
PS: Don't forget to check out the games soc forums,

This Thursday, 3rd April, Games Society will be holding another allnight
gaming session in Ye@h Internet café (on Dawson Street). The fun will
start at 8pm, and goes on into the morning. So for those of you that
like your Quake, MOHAA and Battlefield1942 (And I know you do), you
should come along.
There are 30 places for people, and it will cost you only ¤5 for the
whole night. As there was such a high demand the last time, we will
insist that you pay when you sign up, to guarantee attendance.
We will have tables in either the Hub or the Henry Grattan building
during the week, so look out for us to sign up. Otherwise, mail us at
games(a)redbrick.dcu.ie to get more details about the event, or to ask
about signing up. Hope to see you all there!
