Right tomorrow we will be having a normal Console Night in the Seminar Room.
We are putting together the Retro Night so keep an eye on the forums for
developments on that! Upstairs in the Hub from 6 pm.
Thursday will see the 2nd tutorial on Game Programming. In the first week
we covered basic sprites and how to display stuff full screen we will now
be going on to control your character and creating an interactive menu for

Hey folks!
Just a quick reminder about the Game Programming Tutorials that start today.
They'll be taking place in the Computer Applications building in LG25 from
5pm till 7pm.
They'll be done in Java and there'll be sample code, images and people
there to help you out throughout the night. Should be good fun and very
usefull to all you budding games programmers. Hope to see you there!

Hi all
You've probably already seen the posters by now for tech week, but if you haven't we're pleased to announce a massive Halo 2 tournament tomorrow(Wednesday 2nd March) evening in the seminar room in the hub. We'll have four linked X-Boxes, four projectors, and lots of refreshments for your enjoyment. Business gets underway at 6pm and will run throughout the evening, with both teamplay and deathmatches. It should be a fun night and a rare opportunity to try Halo 2 the way it's meant to be played. So I hope to see you all there. If you've got an x-box we'd appreciate it if you brought along a joypad because we're short a couple, but if all goes to plan we should have full 16 player up and running.
Regards
Stephen
