Hey guys,
So this week we've got:
- Retro Gaming
- Ice Skating
- Lab Gaming
- BYOPC 7
-Retro Gaming-
This Wednesday GameSoc will be having a bit of a nostalgia trip when we
run retro gaming, an event where we dust off the old consoles we all grew
up with such as the NES, SNES, Playstation, N64, Dreamcast and Sega Mega
Drive and have an afternoon of old school fun! We'll be playing all the
old favourites like Street Fighter, Super Mario Bros, Sensible Soccer,
Mariokart and whatever else anyone can bring to the event!
We'd also love if people could bring retro consoles/games and if possible
TV's to the event, even small 15" TV's would be great. Retro gaming will
run from 2pm on Wednesday in the Seminar Room. As usual free refreshments
for all. Expect lots of blowing into cartridges and classic 16 bit music!
:)
-Ice Skating-
On Wednesday Redbrick & GamesSoc are going ice skating, and we have free
tickets for anyone who wants them. Its on in the RDS and will start at
5.30pm. Buses (5) will be leaving from the Helix at 4.15pm. If you'd like
a ticket send a mail to skating(a)redbrick.dcu.ie
-Lab Gaming-
So theres only 5 days left till the big 24 hour LAN, what better way to
prepare? 3 hours of Lab Gaming on Thursday night! Lab Gaming is running as
per usual from 6-9pm in C204, The Henry Grattan building.

basically whatever everyone feels like playing on the night. A console
area will also be setup in the venue with the 360, PS3, Guitar Hero and
Wii all setup. Oh and you know, lots of file sharing to look forward to ;)
For everyone bringing their PC to the event you'll need the following:
