Hey guys,
Just a quick update on the cinema trip tomorrow. We'll actually be
meeting outside cineworld @ 8.15pm as this suits people better. Remember

outside the main entrance at 8.15pm!
See ya then!
Robby.

- Consoles -
So its the final week of the semester, and the last console gaming until
February! So make sure you don't miss it! Things will be kicking off at
2pm in the seminar room, where we'll have all the consoles setup and our
lovely new 32" LCD TV :) There'll be plenty of free refreshments too!
- Lab Gaming -
And on Thursday its the final lab gaming of the year! So make sure you get
your fill of CS, GTA2, Quake 3, Trackmania and all the rest by turning up
@ 6pm, C204 in the Henry Grattan Building.
- Hoodies -
An update on the hoodies order, there are now zip-up hoodies available
aswell as the original. Both types are the same design, except that the
zip-up hoody has a zip ;) The price of the hoodies will be 40 and we'll
hopefully be ordering sometime this (or next) week, so if you want a hoody
and don't want to wait until next year ORDER NOW! :)

Sometime next week we'll be going on a trip to see the new film 'Hitman',
an adaptation of the famous hitman games. We'll send out a mail next week
with a day & time.
And with that, semester one is over. Thanks to all the members who have
come out week after week to all our events and made this a really great
year so far. Look forward to more awesomeness (it's a word.) next semester
when we return!
So on behalf of the entire GamesSoc committee, Good Luck with your exams
and have a Merry Chirstmas!

Hey all,
- Console Gaming
- Lab Gaming
- Christmas Party
- LAN recap
- Consoles -
This week console gaming will be on at 3.30 in the seminar room, and will
be the first time we use our brand new 32" Samsung LCD TV, GamesSocs early
Christmas present to itself! :) Which means we'll be able to run a lot
more consoles now! The Wii, 360, PS3 and Guitar Hero will all be setup, oh
and we'll have lots of free refreshments too.
- Lab Gaming -
Yes we're all very very tired after the 24 hour LAN...but you should all
be rested up by now, and ready for some pc gaming! Lab Gaming will be on @
6pm, Thursday in C204 in the Henry Grattan Building.
- Christmas Party -
Also on Thursday is the GamesSoc, Redbrick & Drama Christmas Party. Things
kick off @ 8pm across the road in the Slipper (Matt Weldons Pub). A large
group will be heading over after lab gaming so turn up to that and then
relax afterwards at the party. GamesSoc will be providing entertainment in
the form of consoles setup for everyone to play. There will be free mince
pies and mulled wine too!
- LAN -
24 hours later... much fun was had by all, and we had a great turnout. We
gamed long and hard into the night and held tournaments in UT3, CS:S and
Worms. The winner of UT3 was Barballs, who took the win in a heated final.
CS:S was won by a team consisting of undone, revenant, coconut and joe5ie,
in what turned out to be a very close tournament. The winner of our
mystery game, which was Worms!, was terroteck. Congratulations to all the
winners!
So we have a great week ahead as we come close to the end of the semester.
Just a quick thanks to everyone who turned up for the LAN and made it a
kickass event! Hope to see you all next semester for a bigger & better
BYOPC 8.
