Hey folks,
Firstly I'd like to say welcome back to everyone, to what we hope will be
another great year for DCU Games Society! We're planning some really cool
stuff this year, so make sure to join us on Clubs & Socs Day so you don't
miss out :)
We're kicking things off early this semester, and will be running a
console gaming session at 1-5pm up in the seminar room in the Hub tomorrow
(Wednesday). We'll have all your old favourites running, as well as some
new ones which include Halo 3, Guitar Hero 2 and our brand new Nintendo
Wii!
So thats Wednesday @ 1pm, in the seminar room in the Hub...and join
Games Soc next week on Clubs and Socs Days! (October 2nd + 3rd)
Robert O'Reilly
Secretary , DCU Games Society.
Apologies for the late notice but organising this event took some time as it was outside of the academic year.
Games Soc will be running our first Bring Your Own PC (byopc for short) LAN of the year nice and early, before the new Semester even starts!
We'll be in the Hub from 12pm Saturday to 12pm Sunday playing games for a full 24 hours and due to the late notice, entry will be completely free! So bring your PC to DCU this weekend and join in!
What you need to bring:
- Your PC and peripherals, monitor, keyboard, headset etc.
- A 4 way socket adaptor to accommodate your pc and whatever else needs to be plugged in.
- Lots of caffeine drinks to keep you awake and energetic and whatever other food or drink you require. :)
We'll also be sending out for Pizza at some point during the night too!
You can sign up right away now at our byopc website, located at http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~gamessoc/byopc
Hope to see you at the event, if not then I hope your results went well over the Summer and we'll be seeing you all soon for the next year of college in DCU :)
