Over and Out.
Hey guys,
Just a reminder about Q-Con. If you don't email me by 5pm this friday the
24th, you *will not* be part of the accommodation or entry ticket booking
made by Games Soc. This is because the last date for redeeming items from
our Grant App is the end of this semester. As the trip is during the
summer, I *cannot* guarantee that you will be refunded if you later choose
to book your own accommodation and pay for your own entry, however if you
do keep your reciepts, it may be partially refunded at the discretion of
next year's committee.
Accommodation is only funded to €14/pp/night, so everyone on the booking
will have to pay a small amount. Travel is partially funded, but shouldn't
be too expensive. Entry is fully covered.
Cheers,
Dennis

This is a big week for DCU with the elections of a new SU and Conveners.
We have members running for Student Union President (Alan Keegan) and for
Vice-Pres (John Murphy), so make sure you get out there on Tuesday and
Wednesday and use your vote. We also have members competing against each
other so it would only be fair to give them both a mention. These are John
Needham and Padraig O'Connor and are both running for Engineering and
Computing Convener.
Best of luck to all candidates and may the best succeed!!
Karaoke
Don't forget people, this Tuesday is Karaoke night for GamesSoc so if
you've signed up make sure to be at The Hub and meet the gang by 18:30,
dinner will be served at 19:30 and afterwards you can all sing your hearts
out! :D If you haven't booked a place and would still like to go then mail
us at games(a)redbrick.dcu.ie asap and see if there are any spaces
available.
We want to say thanks to everyone who attended the LAN on Saturday night.
We hope everyone had fun. Also a congrats, to GamesSoc members, Kevin Fox,
Shane Khublall, David Jacob and myself who had a great weekend at Vaticon
XV in UCD, over the weekend showing up the competition taking 3 of the top
4 places in the Super Smash Bros Brawl tournament and taking home some
great prizes.
I think that's it for this week, so again if there is anything you want
