your mind off it, we have lots going on this week.

So it's getting to that times again folks, the annual christmas party!
We'll be organising this with the lovely folks over at RedBrick as
usual, so it promises to be good craic. Details aren't completely set in
stone so we'll keep you informed
- MarioKart Wii Tournament and Console Gaming | Wednesday 2-6pm | XG14,
Science Building
Because your committee loves you, Console Gaming is making a triumphant
return this Wednesday in XG14, and to celebrate, our MarioKart
Tournament will be this week, and even better? It's free! Signups will
be from 2pm and the tournament will start at 3pm, there will also be
prizes.
- Resident Evil Showing | Tuesday 7pm | C104, Henry Grattan Building
This Tuesday we'll be showing the first Resident Evil film in C104 at
7pm, come along and lets indulge in the zombie apocalypse.
- Risk League
if by any chance you and your friends have been arguing over which one
of you is most likely to succeed in taking over the world then let us
help you answer that question
Next semester we will be holding a risk tournament in which you will
fight weekly to take over parts of the world
and by the end someone will be named king/master/emperor of the world (
or what ever your preferred title is )
so let us know if your interested as it will start early next semester

The Old Bar has been closed to us for Health and Safety reasons and
unfortunately we were not informed in time to organise an alternative
location, so our apologies but console gaming won't be on for the next
week or so.
- Mario Kart Wii Tournament Postponed
Some of you may have seen the posters for our upcoming Mario Kart
tournament, and due to consoles being postponed, this has also been
postponed, watch this space.

Did you know Gamessoc has its own chat server? Well it does! Head on
over to TeamSpeak.com to grab the client and connect to
clyde.games.dcu.ie to start chatting to other members, we're actually
really nice people you know.

As proof of the fact that we're nice people, we've listened to requests
from members that we do a Console event in the evening, so we present
you with Console Evenings. We'll have a few consoles and tvs set up, so
come on and poke your head in.
- Hoodies
So we're ordering the hoodies soon, so do be sure to let us know if you
want a hoodie or zippy. Be sure to let us know if you want a zippy or a
hoodie, what size and what colour.

- Clubs and Socs Ball
If anyone wishes to attend the Clubs and Socs ball do let us know as it
is first come first served this year for tickets, and our PRO is
planning to get a bunch of tickets on Wednesday. They will cost €30 for
society members.

Come along for the goblin slaying! Alright I don't know exactly what
Pathfinder is about but I do know that it's pretty damn cool.

We're running a 5v5 Counter Strike: Source tournament in lab gaming
this week! Signups will be taken from 6 and the tournament will start at
7. Come play, or the other team will win, and we can't have that.

Just a reminder that hoodies will be ordered soon, so get your order
in. Either email us at games(a)redbrick.dcu.ie or poke a committee member
when you see them at any of the events, just let us know the size,
colour, and whether you want a zip or not.
