Hey all,
We're getting close to the end of the semester. CAN YOU FEEL THE
PRESSURE YET? I BET YOU CAN! So why not wind down with some games?

--Trad Gaming--
This week's Trad Gaming sessions will take place in the usual spots at
the usual times. The Trad Officers will be running our Magic the
Gathering Draft Tournament on Monday, and there still are a few more
spots open for it if you're interested in playing! It's €10 to enter,
and please bring your own lands if you have any.
If you have any questions, you can email the committee or else post on
the Facebook page.
--PC Gaming Tournament: AoE2--
This Tuesday, Padraig will be running an Age of Empires 2
tournament. Come on up to C204 to hear such classic lines as "All
hail, king of the losers!", "Food please", "Quit touching me", and
"WOLOLO". Signups will be taken from 6pm and the tournament will start
at 6:30pm.
If you don't have any interest in AoE2, you can play whatever you
really feel like.
--Console Gaming--
Console Gaming continues its stint in X146 due to XG16 still being in
use at that time. For those who aren't familiar with consoles by this
stage, we'll be setting up our consoles as usual, with 2 Xbox 360s, 2
PS3s, a Wii, and a Wii U.
--Hoodies--
We're going to put in the hoodie order on Wednesday this week, so you
can still pay until then. It's €25 for a hoodie, and the link to all
the colours is below. You can also pay €15 now and €10 on receipt of
the hoodie.

Trad Gaming is back this week as usual in XG01 and XG14 on Monday and
Wednesday respectively, and we've got a trophy to hand out for Love
Letter this week. You'll all be told what you've gotta do when you get
there on Wednesday!
--PC Gaming--
Padraig's having a bit of a laugh this week with two more trophies to
give out. The first, on Tuesday, will be "The Most Loveliest Trophy"
for the person who builds what he deems the nicest house in Minecraft.
The second is "Zombie Daredevil", but what is it for? You'll have to
come to C204 and find out on Thursday!
--Console Gaming Tournament--
We're changing places to X146 this week, with another tournament in
Console Gaming this week with Blur! The fast-paced racing game that's
been described as "Mario Kart on steroids", because that's pretty much
what it is. The prize will be the usual €20 voucher for GameStop, as
well as a trophy to bring you that much closer to being crowned the
King of GamesSoc.
As always with these things, the tournament will cost €2 to enter, and
signups will be taken until 3pm.
--Hoodies--
This is the last week we'll be taking money for the hoodie order, so
make sure you get your €25 to someone on the committee with your name
and choice of colour by the end of the week. For the full list of
colours and approximate size of the hoodies, please look here:

--Magic the Gathering Draft--
Our MTG draft tournament will be held in week 9, and there are still
spaces left! If you want to sign up, it costs €10 to put your name
down. If you want to take part, please give your name and money to a
committee member at Trad Gaming this week.
That's all folks!

http://games.dcu.ie/hvz
Anyone who hasn't received their armband can get it at our table in
The Hub on Monday from 10am - 2pm. The Original Zombies have been
chosen, so you'll have to be extra careful tomorrow about who you
trust!
The game itself will be starting at noon on Monday, so make sure to
come
to the hub early, in case you get trapped!
You can find out more details here:
https://www.facebook.com/events/386275978172697
--PC Gaming Tournament--
This Thursday is our first PC Gaming Tournament! We'll be playing
Worms to kick things off! Signups will be €2, and the tournament will
start at 7pm.
--Minecraft Server Launch--
The committee would once more like to apologise for the sudden
postponement of the Minecraft Server Launch last week. Things were
beyond our control, and sadly, there was nothing we could do about it.
However, it'll happen this week! Come on over to C204 on Tuesday to
blow the old map to hell and then explore the new map! The trophy from
last week will carry over to this week, so don't worry!
--Trad Gaming--
Once again we'll have our usual Trad Gaming sessions this week. Come
on down to XG01 on Monday and XG14 on Wednesday to play some games.
--Console Gaming--
After the recent run of tournaments, Console Gaming returns to normal
this week! As always, we'll have out Xbox 360s, PS3s, Wii and WiiU set
up.
--Magic The Gathering Draft--
This year, we're holding a Magic The Gathering draft tournament in
week 9. More information will come, but right now, the details we have
are that it'll be €10 to enter, and it's a maximum of 20 people. You
can sign up any time between now and then, but make sure to get your
money in early!
To sign up, give your name and money to a committee member at Trad
Gaming.
--Hoodies--
Due to some delays, we'll be taking orders for hoodies until the end
of next week. They're €25, and you must pay in advance of the order
being placed. You can give your money to any of the committee members
at any of our events over the next two weeks.

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to announce that Padraig has just informed me that lab
gaming and the Minecraft 1.7 launch tonight has been canceled. We are
aware that it's late notice we were given no warning by ISS, and they
are locking up the room tonight. Thankfully, we noticed it early, as
it could have been a nasty moment if we had walked into the room this
evening.
The positive side of this story is that the lab machines will now all
be ready for next week. Lab gaming will officially launch next Tuesday
12th November. It will then be running on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
6-10 in C204.
The new, up-to-date Minecraft server will also be launching on
Tuesday. More updates on that to come.
Once again I apologize for the late notice on tonight. However, it is
unavoidable.
Thanks for your understanding.
Regards,
Niall Gaffney
