Trad Gaming will be happening on both Monday and
Wednesday in XG01 from 6PM. We'll have the usual
variety of games to play along with our famous
mascot. Don't break with 'Trad'ition and be sure
to come along.
|| Console Tournament: Halo 4 ||
We're going to be having a Console Gaming tournament
this week on Halo 4. Sign ups will be the standard €2,
and will be starting at around 2:30PM, with the
tournament starting at 3PM. We'll be giving out a €20
Gamestop voucher as the prize.
We'll also have our other usual consoles running so you
should still come and say Halo to your friends!

PC Gaming will be running from 6PM to 10PM in C204 this
week. Come play games brah!
Please note that aside from the given time, C204 is a
normal computer lab, and as such, you are not allowed to
play games on the computers before 6PM. Thanks!

Trad Gaming will be happening on both Monday and
Wednesday in XG01 from 6PM. We'll have the usual

Also of note: This wednesday, one of our members
is going to be running an entry-level Pathfinder
RPG. If you wish to bring your own character you
can, or Stephen will be able to provide characters
for you. RPG's are great fun, and I'd highly reccomend
playing one if you haven't before!

Console Gaming will be running as standard this Wednesday,
from 2PM (ish) to 6PM in X101. We'll have the stuff set up
for you guys to play, and we'll get an assortment of
refreshments at some point as well, so you should definitely
show up.

We're going to be having a Team Fortress 2 tournament this
week in PC Gaming. It will be done in teams of 4-6
(depending on numbers), with entry for each player being 2
euro. Sign ups will start at 6pm, and the tournament will
start at 7pm, so make sure to show up to improve your
team building skills!
Please note that aside from the given time, C204 is a
normal computer lab, and as such, you are not allowed to
play games on the computers before 6PM. Thanks!
|| Games Day ||
This year Gamessoc is going to be hosting a Games Day in DCU
running all day Saturday 23rd Feb. This is basically just a
day where we have both Console Gaming and Trad gaming running
all day long in different rooms. Entry will be free, and throughout
the day we'll have tournaments just for funsies! The only way to
find out if there's prizes for the tournaments is to win!
We're nearly finished ironing out rooms and events, so expect
another email later in the week with an update!
We'll be starting up at 10am, and running till 6pm, but as this
is a relatively new idea, please be patient with us if we're late
setting some things up!

|| Console Gaming: Playstation All Stars Tournament ||
For our first tournament this semester, we're going to be
playing Playstation All Stars Battle Royale. Entry will
be 2 euro with a 20 euro gamestop voucher as a prize for
the winner. Sign ups start at 2PM, with the tournament
starting at 2:30.
Both Kratos and Sackboy are being banned for
the duration of the tournament due to balance reasons.
Other rules will be specified on the day.
There will be no Royale with cheese in our society.
For those of you who aren't interested in the tournament,
we'll have our other normal consoles set up as well.

this semester, starting from 6PM. We have the usual
setup and everyone is welcomed to come along. If you've
never come to PC gaming, now is the perfect time to start.
We have steam accounts with games you can play, or you
can use your own account either.

Gamessoc are going to be going to Omniplex cinema this
Tuesday to see the new Disney/Pixar film: Wreck-it-Ralph.
In order to ensure we have seats for the film, we're going
to be booking tickets. Tickets are 7.70 each, and we'll be
collecting money tomorrow at Trad Gaming. We'll be meeting
in the hub at around 5:30, then walking over to the omni.

The Gamessoc committee and I (well, most of us...),
just want to take a quick second to welcome you
all back to DCU for a second semester of Gamessoc,
and to thank you all for helping to make our society
one of the most active in DCU. Exams are behind
us now, so regardless of how you did (or think
you did), you should just forget about them, and start
focusing on second semester and of course looking
forward to more amazing Gamessoc events!

Trad Gaming will be happening on both Monday and

out on these events last semester, this would be a
good time to jump on in to Gamessoc's events. We'll
have plenty of board and card games for you guys to
play, so be sure to make an appearance.

Great news for everyone: We have a set room for
Console Gaming for the entirety of semester 2!
The room is X101, which is just above where Trad
usually is, so most of you should have no problem
finding it. Just make sure to show up on the right
day (Wednesday, in case you were wondering)!
While we realise the ever-shifting room for
Consoles last year kept you guys entertained, we
figured that in these troubled economic times, a
bit of stability would be welcomed. That, and trying
to keep up with room changes meant I couldn't copy
and paste my emails >_<..
