Hey everyone so Humans vs. Zombies is finally kicking off so we've planned
the whole week around it to celebrate. Zombie board games, console games
and much more to satisfy your hunger for human flesh.
====Humans vs Zombies====
The hunt begins at 12pm tomorrow where the original zombie will be
released into the wild. He/She will be invisible for the first hour or
until they get five kills. If your still thinking about signing up you
have until 1pm. You can sign up for free at games.dcu.ie/hvz. If you still
haven't got an orange band you can collect one from us in the hub from
9am-2pm tomorrow. We also have some nerf guns available to rent for 5 for
the week with 10 bullets. These are available from 12pm and it is first
come first served. There will be a donation box at our stall in the hub
for donations and you can donate by PayPal through the HvZ website. As an
added bonus there will be King of GamesSoc points available during the
week for special achievements.
====Missions====
The Humans vs. Zombies missions will take place on Monday, Tuesday and
Thursday, all starting at 6:30pm. Monday's mission is the all too familiar
Saving Private Toasty, Tuesday's mission is a scavenger hunt and
Thursday's mission is an Evacuation mission. Full details of these can be
found on the HvZ website.
====Trad Gaming====
Trad gaming will resume as normal from 6-10pm on Monday and 5-10pm on
Wednesday in XG01. Wednesday will be a zombie themed night with great
games like Dead of Winter, Zombie Flux, Betrayal and many more.
====Console Gaming====
What better way to celebrate HvZ than with a COD Black Ops Zombies
tournament. The rules, simple, be the last man standing and you move on to
the next round. Entry fees are 2 and all proceeds will go to Child's
Play. Console Gaming takes place in X101 from 1-5pm. Signups for the
tournament start at 1pm with the tournament starting at 2pm.

======================================================================
Hi all, Seamus here. Over the last few weeks I have been asking around
about interest in Dungeons & Dragons. There seems to be enough interest to
begin planning, so I'm going to start taking names and I'll put together
something over the next week or so.
If you are in any way interested in D&D, be it playing, DMing, or even a
casual interest, please do get in contact. I can be found at
seamus.foley24(a)mail.dcu.ie, or you can send me a message on Facebook.
Here is a rough framework of details you may want to know:
Players: Absolutely all are welcome, there is no minimum
requirement. All ranges of experience with D&D/RPGs are welcome.
We will probably be using Fifth edition D&D, as it is the system
I am most familiar with, and the easiest to learn. It is my intention to do
some warm up sessions to familiarize players with the rules and the
system before we launch into any specific campaigns.
I am willing to DM at least one game, but others are welcome to DM games
if they wish.
There is no plan as yet with regards game times, as this will
largely depend on the availability of those involved.
I hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks,
Seamus Foley

the committee and help us run the society. Here's the schedule for this
week:
===EGM===
Our EGM will be held on Monday 3rd (tomorrow) at 6pm in XG01. The

last week, we will be completing the tournament on Wednesday so make sure
to be there for it.
===Trad Gaming===
Trad Gaming is the same as always on Monday and Wednesday in XG01 from
6-10pm and 5-10pm respectively. Monday's Trad will be delayed due to the
EGM.
===King of GamesSoc===
Its good to be king. King of GamesSoc is a massive tournament of
tournaments throughout the college year, and it has already kicked off,
with two prizes being awarded during our Clubs and Socs Mario Maker
Tournament! Members fight it out in our tournaments for points, and the
person with the most points wins the title! Were doing things a little
differently this year:
DOUBLE THE ROYALTY: More kingliness! King of Gamessoc now will have a king
rise to power in each semester, to accommodate those who will be in DCU
for only one semester. Each king gets their share of royal gaming riches!
Itll give renewed intensity to the competition in the second semester.
GET THE POINT: In previous years, every trophy was worth a single point.
This year, were shaking things up: winning a tournament now awards three
points! Among these tournaments, theres also opportunities to earn even
more points! Random trophies for achievements in a tournament setting
award either one or two points, at the committees discretion. So dont be
afraid to be flashy as hell, because itll pay off!
You can keep a track of all trophies here:
