Week 5: Working title
Hey guys,
Welcome to another week of college. If you still have any will to live
left, come to some of our events this week!
PC Gaming
This week, PC Gaming will take place on Tuesday, 5-10pm in C204. We'll be
having our first PC Gaming tournament of the year, Ultimate Chicken Horse.
I frankly have no idea what that is, but I'm sure if you like chickens
and/or horses you'll enjoy it..probably. There's an entry fee of €2, and
the winner will receive a €20 Steam voucher, so why not come along and give
it a shot!
Console Gaming
Join us for some Console Gaming on Wednesday 2-5pm in XG01. We'll have all
the favourites there as usual, hope to see you there!
Trad Gaming
Trad Gaming will be taking place as usual Monday, 6-10pm, and Wednesday,
5-10pm, in XG01. Chinese Soc will be joining us on Wednesday for some board
games, and they'll be bringing along some of their own too! But wait,
there's more.
This Wednesday we'll also be trying out Atmosfear, a spooky 3-6 player
board game guided by a DVD DM. It's super cheesy and entertaining, so
people are welcome to come along to play or just spectate. It'll be held in
CG12, 6-10pm, so don't miss out!

Week 4: Gang Beasts, PC Gaming and more!
Hey guys,
I hope everybody was happy with their results last week, and that you're
ready for a week of fun.
PC Gaming
In case you somehow managed to miss it, PC Gaming is once again alive. Join
us for some PC Gaming in C204 on Thursday, 5-10pm. Bring your own mouspads,
headphones, etc. - whatever you need for comfortable gaming. And don't
forget to join our Discord (with an updated link) for Discord Fridays.
Console Gaming
Join us for some Console Gaming on Wednesday 2-5pm in XG01. This week we'll
be holding a Gang Beasts tournament, €2 entry and a €20 GameStop voucher
for the winner. It'll be lots of fun, so don't miss out.
Trad Gaming
Don't forget to come along to Trad Gaming in room XG01 on Monday, 6-10pm,
and Wednesday, 5-10pm. We'll have all the usual games and fun!
Trad in The City
Next Monday (26th) we'll be returning to the Clockwork Door for Trad in the
City. We won't be holding normal Trad in DCU during this, so if you like
your board games on a Monday, come along to Trad in the City. It'll cost
about €10 each, with a €2 deposit to be collected this week, so sign up here

Rocket League Ireland
Rocket League Ireland is a group of people who are greatly interested in
Rocket League, and they organise tournaments as well as just connecting you
with fellow Rocket League lovers. If you want to join, their Discord is here

Week 3: PC Gaming is back!
Hey guys,
Firstly, congratulations to the newest additions to the Games Soc committee
that were elected on Wednesday. We have a fun week ahead so here's what's
happening.
PC Gaming
The day you thought would never arrive is here - PC Gaming is back. It'll
be held on Thursday, 5-10pm in C204, so come along. We'll have PCs with
games, but you're welcome to bring your laptops too. Woo. We'll still be
holding our Discord meet-ups on Friday nights, so if you haven't already
joined our server the link is in the footer.
Console Gaming
Join us for some Console Gaming on Wednesday 2-5pm in XG01. We'll have all
your favourite games and consoles there ready to play so come along, and
bring a friend.
Trad Gaming
Trad Gaming will take place as usual 6-10pm on Monday, and 5-10pm on
Wednesday, in XG01. Spend Valentine's Day with the one you truly love:
Games Soc. We're also planning to go to the Clockwork Door for another Trad
in the City on the 26th, so listen out for that.
Q-Con
We have a single spot left for on trip to Q-Con, so sign up here if you're
interested and we'll be in touch. It'll take place June 22nd-25th, and
it'll be a great weekend. The deposit is €20 which we'll need ASAP, with
the overall cost being approximately €60 (pays for travel, accommodation
and the Q-Con ticket).

Week 2: EGM, Rocket League & Q-Con
Hello all,
I hope you're all enjoying the return to college and study, or something
like that. Take some time out to come to some of our events this week!
EGM
On Wednesday, we'll be holding an EGM to elect the following positions:
Public Relations Officer, PC Officer and Trips and Events Officer. Come
along to vote for the people you want to see elected, and maybe run for one
yourself. This will take place in XG01 at 5pm, and there'll be free pizza
followed by trad gaming as usual.
Console Gaming
Join us for some Console Gaming on Wednesday 2-5pm in XG01. This week we'll
be hosting a 1v1 Rocket League tournament. There's a €2 entry fee, and the
winner will receive a €20 GameStop voucher. Sign-ups from 2pm, with the
tournament beginning around 2:30pm. If you don't like soccer, cars, or
games with both of those things, our usual range of consoles and games will
still be there.
Trad Gaming
Trad Gaming will take place as usual 6-10pm on Monday, and Wednesday
evening following the EGM in room XG01.
Q-Con
We have already filled all the spaces for the annual trip to Q-Con during
summer, but remember that if you haven't given the €20 deposit to a
committee member by this Wednesday (7th) your place will be given to
another person.
