The end of the semester is finally here! Good luck to everyone who’s
working on end-of-term assignments, I’m sure you’ll do great! We’ll be
running our regular events throughout the week for anyone looking to relax,
but we’ll also be getting ready for Gamesoc’s biggest event of the
semester… 48 Hour LAN! 48 Hour LAN is a big sleepover happening in the U
which will be starting this Friday at 5pm and ending on Sunday at 5pm,
making it perfect for relaxing after the long semester!
The price will be €10 for 24 hours and €18 for 48 hours, and you can buy
tickets through this link!

unavailable for purchase. We'll notify everyone when they're up for sale
again, but to make up for it we're extending our ticket sales window so

*Gamesoc Pokemon Champion!*
Pokemon League's semester finale is here, which means that we’ll soon be
picking our Gamesoc Pokemon League Champion! Next week on Wednesday 11th
December during Console Gaming, everyone who has collected 8 Gym Badges
will compete against other Champion hopefuls for the Champion’s throne! If
you haven’t gotten 8 badges yet, don’t worry, you’ve still got over a week
to finish your collection!
All battles will take place through Pokemon Showdown, which can be found

*Console Gaming*
Console Gaming will be in the Pairc Room this Wednesday from 2-6pm! This
week we’ll also be having a Smash Ultimate Tournament from 3pm onwards!
Entry will be €2 and the prize will be a €20 Gamestop voucher!
Feel free to switch the games being played on the consoles! As a heads-up,
if you're looking to take a game out of the gamesoc boxes to play, please
ask a committee member to take it out for you!
*Tabletop Gaming*
Tabletop Gaming will be on in the Cuilin Room this Monday from 5 to 10pm!
We won’t be having a Tabletop Gaming Night on Wednesday this week, but
we’ll have plenty of tabletop games at LAN if you’re up for more Tabletop
Gaming later in the week!
*PC Gaming*
PC Gaming will be in the E-Hub this Tuesday from 6pm to 10pm!
Remember to bring your own laptops, headsets, mice etc. as well! While we
have a lot of Pcs we unfortunately can't provide for everyone!

Week 11: EGM + 48 Hour LAN!
*EGM This Monday!*
We’ll be running an EGM this Monday in the Cuilin Room from 6pm onwards!
The positions we’ll be electing are Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, PRO,
Community Manager and Tabletop Officer; if you’re interested in running for
any of the positions, make sure to be there and ready to make a speech
about why you’re suitable for the position! If you can’t attend the EGM in
person, don’t worry; you can also call in to the EGM and make your speech
remotely, or send in a pre-written speech to be read out by someone else in
your place! Good luck to everyone who plans on running, and we look to
working with whoever gets elected!
*48 Hour LAN!*
Next week we’ll be hosting our 48 Hour LAN in the U, from Friday 13th
December at 5pm to Sunday 15th December at 5pm! LAN is a huge 48 hour
sleepover where we’ll be playing games, competing in tournaments for prizes
and overall having a great time!
