Week 11: Keyforge night, the Grand Trek to go watch Shazam and Super Meatboy speed runs! *SHAZAM!* This week we're making the brave journey through the outside world to go watch Shazam! This Tuesday we're all meeting up at the Henry Gratham at 6.30pm and making our way down to the IMC in the Omni to catch the 7.30pm screening. Join us as we're offering discounted tickets! Week 10: All hail the Great Hair! *We have renamed to HairSoc!* Today, on April 1st we're happy to announce that we're rebranding! From this point onwards we shall be known as HairSoc! Our first event after the rebranding is to worship Brendan's luxurious hair! Look at that thing, now you can't look away even if you wanted to. *St. Pat's Hair night!* We're spreading our roots to St. Pat's campus this week! Week 8: EGM, Jungle Speed Tournament and St. Pat's night! *EGM and Hoodie reminder!* Oh what's this? An email on a Bank Holiday weekend? Just because school's out doesn't mean GamesSoc is! Hope everyone is having a good St. Patrick's Weekend as we have a whole host of events for you this week! Just a quick reminder that we have an EGM this week! On Wednesday from 6.30pm in the Cuillín Room we'll be electing our new Public Relations Officer and Treasurer! Fancy yourself one of these positions? Week 12: AGM week! *AGM!* It's time for our yearly elections! Join us in KA115 aka the Pairc Room in the U on Wednesday from 6pm as we decide Roman emperor style who'll be on our next committee! There also may or may not be pizza if our overlord Maciej allows it. Along with this do you fancy yourself a position on the Committee? Why not run for one of our 17 positions available! They are as follows; Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Manager, Community Manager, 2 Console Officers, 2 Tabletop Officers, 2 Pc Officers, St. Pat's Campus Representative, Webmaster Trips and Events Officer and Ordinary Member! And to celebrate our new committee we'll be heading off to the slipper after the AGM and having a few pints in this semester's first Games social! *Console Gaming* Get ready to face off against Matt and your fellow GamesSoc members in various sporting events in our Wii sports tournament this week! Week 5: Auction Night! *AGM season!* We're hosting our AGM soon! During week 6 on the Wednesday 6th of March from 6pm, we'll be in XG01 electing our next year committee! Week 4: St. Pats Tabletop Night and Triple Tournament week! *Tabletop makes a comeback to the St. Pats Campus!* This week Tabletop Gaming is making a return to St. Pat's campus! This Tuesday in E206 from 6pm-9pm join us on our other favourite campus for some amazing board games! *Smash Ultimate ICE Qualifier Round 1!* We're proud to announce that this weekend on Saturday from 1pm-8pm we'll be hosting round 1 of the Irish Collegiate Esports Smash Ultimate Qualifier here in DCU! Tickets are only €5 euro and you have to register before the event which can be found here <https://www.facebook.com/events/600805620346819/>. *Console Gaming* Consoles this week will have a Towerfall tournament! From 1pm-6pm this Wednesday join us in the Entrepreneurship Hub, sign ups are €2 per person with a €20 gamestop voucher along with some King of GamesSoc points! Remember the people with the most King of GamesSoc points at the end of the year will win some pretty sweet prizes! *Tabletop Gaming* Tabletop along with the trip to St. Pats will be running on Monday and Wednesday this week! On Monday it'll run from 5-10pm in XG01 while again on Wednesday it'll run from around 6pm in the Entrepreneurship Hub! *PC Gaming* Pc gaming will be running in the Entrepreneurship Hub this Wednesday from 5pm-10pm! This week we're also hosting a tournament for an old classic game Age of Empires 2 HD! Sign ups are €2 with again a €20 Gamestop voucher on the line along with some more juicy King of GamesSoc points! Discord nights are also happening this week on Friday and Saturday from 8pm till we fall asleep! Join us while we play an abundance of video games during these nights!
