Some serious business for a change. Next Wednesday the 12th of March GamesSoc will be having an Emergency General Meeting (EGM). The EGM is a proposal to our members, that GamesSoc shall merge will the society 'STOCS' effective as of our Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will follow in late March.
Basically this means that GamesSoc will be running STOCS events from next year onward, henceforth to be known as 'traditional gaming', making us the overall games society for DCU with PC, Console & Traditional gaming.
The business of the EGM will be for members to vote on the proposed merger, as well as vote to approve our new constitution, which will provide for 2 new committee positions and the removal of the ordinary member position. We urge you all to come down and have your say, this is a very important meeting for the society so we hope lots of you can make it.
