Week 10: 48 Hour LAN + Upcoming EGM!

Welcome to Week 10 everyone! We’re getting closer to the end of the Semester, which means we’re also getting closer to something very exciting... Gamesoc’s 48 Hour LAN event! LAN is a huge 48 hour sleepover where we’ll be playing games, competing in tournaments for prizes and overall having a great time! It’ll be taking place in the U from the 13th to the 15th of December! We’ll have a stand set up in the ground floor of the U from 1-4 on Monday and 11-4 on Tuesday to Thursday, so if you’re looking to buy a ticket or just have any questions about LAN, that’s the place to be!  | Upcoming EGM! |
Next week we’ll also be holding an EGM, on Monday 2nd December! We’ll be electing the positions of Chair, Vice-Chair, PRO, Treasurer, Community Manager and Tabletop Officer, so if you’re interested in any of those positions, make sure to be there! Everyone who wishes to run for the position will need to make a speech, however if you can’t make it to the EGM in person you can call in and make your speech remotely or have someone else read your speech for you! Console Gaming will be in the Pairc Room this Wednesday from 2-6pm! We’ll have all our usual selection of consoles and games to pick from, so whatever you’re looking to play we’re sure to have something to look forward to! Feel free to switch the games being played on the consoles! As a heads-up, if you're looking to take a game out of the gamesoc boxes to play, please ask a committee member to take it out for you!  | Tabletop Gaming |
Tabletop Gaming will be on this Monday and Wednesday in the Cuilin Room from 5-10pm! If there’s any board game of ours that you’re looking to play but that we don’t have out, feel free to ask a committee member for it and we’ll be happy to get it out for you!  | PC Gaming |
PC Gaming will be on this Tuesday from 6-10pm! This week, we’ll also be holding an Overwatch Tournament from 7pm onwards! Entry will be €2, the max team size will be 3 and the prize will be a €15 One 4 All voucher for each winning team member! Remember to bring your own laptops, headsets, mice etc. as well! While we have a lot of Pcs we unfortunately can't provide for everyone! We'll also be hosting a Gamesoc Discord night on Saturday from 8pm onwards!
