- Maynooth Games Society Trip - This Saturday the 8th of October we'll be heading up to Maynooth to meet up with their Games Society for some tournaments, wargaming and plenty of free food. They'll be running all day from 11am onwards with loads of PCs, consoles, board games, card games and war games so there'll be something for everybody.
For 40K players the matches will be casual standard 1750pts games. If you're into Magic then bring your deck as there's a good few players in NUI. Tournaments for video games will be decided on the day depending on what people want and all tournaments are free entry and there'll be prizes for the winners. They have a huge selection of board games also so you'll have a lot to play for the day.
I'll talk about the travel plans for us here. We plan to get the train from Connolly Station to Maynooth at 9:36am and arrive at Maynooth for 10:16 then walk the rest of the way up. If you're interested in going but want to take the train later or at a different stop then the link for the train schedule is here: http://tinyurl.com/6jovcl6
We'll be meetin up in the Connolly train station at 9:00-9:20.
It's €6.20 for a return ticket but the first ten comming with GamesSoc that morning get their ticket paid for. So you'll need to email me back if you're interested in going.
From the Maynooth station we'll be heading to the John Hume Building
in NUI if you're with us we'll lead you there but otherwise here's a map to the area from the train station: http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~creamygo/files/Maynooth%20Map.png (I apologise for the horrible paint job)
Yet again I'll mention if you want to head up with us the first ten to respond to this email will have their return ticket paid for so if you're interested in going just email us back.
That's all for now folks! Thanks again for checking us out on the Clubs and Socs days and I hope you all have a great time this year.
Yours Deliciously Oisin John St John Kelly Chairperson DCU Games Society
