Week 12: The Promised LAN is here!

Hey guys,

Firstly, congratulations to the winner of the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses ticket, Rory Williams Doyle. It's the final week of the semester, but we've got plenty in store for you!

The Promised LAN

Our 24-hour LAN will be taking place on St Pats Campus from 6pm on Friday, December 8th. Places are limited, so sign up here as soon as possible. The overall cost is €20, with a €5 to be paid at our stand in the Street (Henry Grattan building) at 11-1pm on Monday, 12-2pm on Tuesday, and 1-3pm on Wednesday. The rest you pay on entry. It'll be a mad night with lots of tournaments, terrible video game movies, spot prizes, a raffle, and refreshments to keep you going, so sign up before it's too late!

Hoodies

This is your last chance to get yourself a DCU GamesSoc hoodie featuring Blinky! The hoodies will cost €25 and we'll be collecting money this week. You can find me at the LAN stand on Wednesday, 1-3pm, to give me the money, or email me if that time doesn't suit. Fill in the order information here. They're great quality and super comfy, not to mention you'll be repping your favourite society.

Trad Gaming

Trad will be taking place as usual on Monday, 6-10pm in XG01, and 5-10pm on Wednesday. We'll be holding a Settlers of Catan tournament on Monday, with an entry fee of €2 and a €20 Gamers World voucher for the winner!

Console Gaming

Console Gaming will be held from 2-5pm in XG01, and this week is your chance to take part in a Donkey Konga tournament!.

Logo Competition

As this is the last year of Blinky, we're currently looking for a new logo, created by one of our wonderful members. The winner will receive a €50 Amazon voucher, so if graphic design is your passion, click here for all of the specific requirements. The deadline will be around the start of semester 2.
