Hope everyone who had it enjoyed their Reading Week last week! Now that everyone’s back, we hope you’re ready to hit the ground running (or driving?) as we’ve got a big event lined up this week! We’ll be teaming up with Karting Society at this week’s Console Gaming event on Wednesday for a Racing Game Extravaganza, the full details of which can be found in the Console Gaming section of the email! In addition to that, we’ve got an important announcement to make: we’ll be holding an EGM next Wednesday the 20th of October from 6pm onwards! We’ll be electing a new Tabletop Officer and a new PC Officer, so if you’re interested in running for either of those positions make sure to be there!  | Dominicon Ticket Raffle! |
We’re glad to announce that we’ve got two VIP tickets to Dominicon to raffle away this week! Dominicon is a gaming convention run by Maynooth University’s Game Society for the past 25 years that’s being held in Maynooth University! Console Gaming will be on in the Pairc Room this Wednesday from 2pm to 6pm! This week will put your virtual driving skills to the test, as this week’s consoles will be an intersoc with Karting Soc! As part of this, we’ll be hosting a Mario Kart Tournament from 3pm onwards! Entry is free, so whatever your skill level it’s sure to be a fun time! In addition to the tournament, we’ll also have a variety of racing games available to play such as Gran Turismo, Burnout and Need 4 Speed! Feel free to switch the games being played on the consoles! As a heads-up, if you're looking to take a game out of the gamesoc boxes to play, please ask a committee member to take it out for you!  | Tabletop Gaming |
Tabletop Gaming will be in the Cuilin Room this Monday and Wednesday, from 5pm to 10pm on both days! We’ll have all of our usual selection of games available as well as some of our more obscure ones, so it’s sure to be a fun time all around!  | PC Gaming |
PC Gaming will be on this Tuesday in the E-Hub from 6-10pm! Remember to bring your own laptops, headsets, mice etc. as well! While we have a lot of Pcs we unfortunately can't provide for everyone! Luke GilroyGames Society Secretary
