Week 11: Games, parties, and where to find them!

Hey guys,

We're nearing the end of the semester, and we've got a fun filled fortnight ahead of us. Here's what's happening.

The Usuals

Trad Gaming: Trad will be taking place as usual on Monday, 6-10pm in XG01. It'll be as fun as always, come along!

Console Gaming: Console Gaming will be held from 2-5pm in XG01, with all of our favourite consoles and games.

Discord Meet-Ups: We'll be meeting up on Discord from 8pm on Friday and Saturday to play some games and hang out.

Upcoming Events

Redbrick Christmas Party We'll be joining Redbrick in throwing their Christmas party in the Slipper this Wednesday, 7pm. There'll be games, drinking and some presents, guaranteed to be a lot of fun!

Airsoft Trip DCU Airsoft Soc will be heading off to Inferno QBC this Wednesday, leaving the Helix at 2:30pm. It costs €20, and you can sign up from 12pm until 2pm Monday and Tuesday. Beginners welcome, it'll be a blast!

LAN The 24 hour LAN will be taking place on St Pats Campus from 6pm on Friday, December 8th. It'll be a mad night with lots of tournaments, spot prizes, a raffle, and refreshments to keep you going! Places are limited, so sign up here as soon as possible.

Competitions

Logo Competition: As this is the last year of Blinky, we'll be looking for a new logo. The winner will receive a €50 Amazon voucher, so if graphic design is your passion, click here for all of the specific requirements. The deadline will be the start of semester 2, we'll give the exact date soon.

Ticket Giveaway: As some of you may be aware, Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses is coming to the Bord Gáis on the 11th of December, and we have a ticket to give away for it! Keep an eye on our Facebook page to enter. Speaking from experience, it's an amazing show and there are still tickets on sale!

Hoodies

This is your last chance to get yourself a DCU GamesSoc hoodie featuring Blinky! The hoodies will cost €25 and we'll be collecting money before the end of the semester, fill in the order information here. They're great quality and super comfy, not to mention you'll be repping your favourite society.
