Hey folks,
It's Tech week, a time of the year where we at DCU honor all technology created by man.
Here's whats on this week
- Karaoke - Retro Gaming - Hoodies - Traditional Gaming - Lab Gaming & Minecraft Server
- Karaoke - This Tuesday redbrick and ourselves will be going to Bongas in town for some good old fashioned Karaoke. We'll be meeting up at 6pm in the Hub and heading for Bongas for a dinner then Karaoke. Dinner and Karaoke will be €10 each. Note: Don't ask what this has to do with tech week.
- Retro Gaming - Since last time was attacked by a blizzard, this week we're having Retro Gaming part deux as part of Tech Week! We'll have plenty of games to tingle your nostalgic taste buds like Super Mario Kart, Gauntlet, Goldeneye and more. So come on down to the old bar at 2pm Wednesday for some console classics.
- Hoodies - Just some more info on colour and price. It'll be €22 for either a hoodie or zip hoodies. The colour selection can be found here for hoodies: http://jackandjade.clothingrange.co.uk/product-details.asp?cat=SW&subcat... And zip hoodies: http://jackandjade.clothingrange.co.uk/product-details.asp?cat=SW&subcat...
So if you want one just email the colour, size and type you want back to us or talk to a committee member at any of our events.
- Traditional Gaming - With the Warhammer 40k campaign in it's second round and overseer Jiggy has been chronicling each battle. Follow up on 40k campaign here: http://games.dcu.ie/forums/index.php?topic=2895.0
Also this Wednesday at Traditional Loreweaver Liam will be running a scenario of Heavy Gear. Filled with combat mechs and Explosions Heavy Gear actually fits into Tech week nicely.
As always Traditional is on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm in room C165.
- Lab Gaming & Minecraft Server - In the usual place of C204 at the usual time of 6pm Thursday. Our PC Officer Chris has set up a minecraft server on Clyde. The server IP is: 136.206.12.41:27031. Come and build wonderful creations so I can flood it with lava and gaze at how beautiful your blazing creations are at night.
That's all this week. Hope you all have a great tech week!
Yours Deliciously, Sir Saint John Oisin Christopher Kelly Esquire, Secretary DCU Games Society
