hey everyone
sorry it's kinda late but here are the thirty names of people for the tv
workshop this evening at six. if you can't make it let me know because there
are others who will want to go instead if you're going to be late let me
know and we'll wait a little while...the tv studio is in C140 thats upstairs
in the henry grattan down the corridor to the left(not the one where loans
is the other one). We'll be doing a run through of how the studio works
and maybe a quick run through of a script.
Start thinking about tv studio programmes you could make and also what area
you're interested in...we'll be setting up one or two crews to film programmes...more
about that this evening.
see you then

Hey everyone,
First TV workshop will take place on this thursday at six...
numbers will be limited so e-mail me back asap so we can do another one
at seven if we have to...
Thursday at six in the tv studio, we'll be giving a run through of how to
use the studio...anyone who's name is not down will not be allowed take
part...
the cameras are already booked out for this weekend and there's loads of
people asking about them so if you think you're going to want them give
us at least a preliminary booking and we'll work through the pre-production
stuff with you...
see you thursday,
Thomond

"Someday I'll cheapen this email with a signature"
hello all,
thanks to everyone who emailed me back re their interest in the DCU fm workshops.
i have set and confirmed dates with michael and it's full steam ahead! there
will be two classes, one for beginners and one for intermediates. this schedule
is at the bottom of this message.
unfortunately we are limited to 15 places in each class. as you know it
is based on a first come first served basis. the sign-up sheets will go
up on the MPS notice board on tuesday morning and the first to have their
names down on each sheet will decide who will be taking the classes for
the next three weeks.
if you put your name down YOU MUST TURN UP FOR EVERY SESSION. please don't
put your name down if you cannot or do not intend on following through.
because there are only 30 places in all, it's not fair to sign up if you
are only half serious.
if you don't get a chance to partake, fear not! all is not lost. i hope
to run another set of workshops in semester two.
if you do sign up and for whatever reason, cannot go, please make sure you
email me so i can fill your place with another eager beaver!
good luck to all and i'll see ye next wednesday!

Morning all,
This is just a quick call for anyone who has ideas for DCUtv to email me
on:
peter.linnemann2(a)mail.dcu.ie
If you have a group of people who are interested in helping you that is
great, but if not we can help you get together a team etc etc...
As I mentioned in the meeting today, I can also send out an example of a
short comedy script to give you an idea of how they should be formatted.
I have script writing software that I will try to make available on the
webpage as a download. This makes the whole process much easier and is really
very easy to use. Email me if your interested in this, not just for people
interested in scriptwriting, as it is an important part of the pre-production
process.
Again, tips & ideas help will be available on the website over the next
week, so if you want to get experience making something but aren't sure
of ideas, use this facility.
Also, I am sending out a roll call to try and find out what aspect of programme
making people are interested in. Possible categories could be:
Scriptwriting
Producing
Camera work
Sound work
Lighting
Editing
Post-production sound
Graphics
Motion Titles
Directing
Cinematography
Continuity
Presenting
Studio management
If you are interested in having your name and email address up on the website
showing what you are interested in so that people can contact you, please
send me an email stating your interests. The purpose of this is to try and
make things easier for you and make sure everybody has the opportunity to
get involved.
Summary:
Do you have any ideas for DCUtv?
Would you like a copy of a short film script?
What areas of programme making are you interested in?
Thanks everyone,
Pedro...
