I know you're probably all snowed under with assignments at the moment but
this is just a quick word about DCUFM 2003.
THE STATION
We will be broadcasting from Monday 11th March to Friday 14th March. I
know that seems ages away but we have to get working on programmes soon.
THE PROGRAMMES
If you have any ideas for shows that you want to put forward give either
myself or kim (kim.murphy8(a)mail.dcu.ie)an email as soon as you can. If
you want to do a show but don't know what to do it about, we can give you
a few suggestions.
We would like to ask if any of you are interested in doing any of the following
shows:
60s Music Show
00s Music Show
Documentary about Italia 90 (Jackie's Army etc)
Documentary about USA 94 (Jackie's Army again)
Taking Part in the Breakfast Show.
Drama pieces
Comedy Shows
Other documentaries (Music,
I know that documentaries can be a lot of work but we've always had great
documentaries on the station. So give us a shout with your ideas or if you're
interested in any of the above.

Hey everyone,
DCUTV are having their next meeting on Tuesday. I was thinking of having
it at 2 but let me know what your time tables are like and i'll fix it to
suit all.
You'll be glad to hear that the preparations are well under way. We have
got many programmes sorted but there are still a few that need your help.
1. Calling all multimedia students. I have a slot for a 5 minute animation
that i need filled. If you have one done already or want to do one, please
email me back.
2. Music video. We have one last music video to sort out. we need a crew
and a band. email me if you are interested or know of a band interested.
3. A main studio programme. Keep the ideas coming for this show, we need
a full crew also so give me a shout.
4. Documentary on Your a star, this years media craze. we will need a full
crew so again if you wanna meet mickey harte and co. drop me a line.
5. we need studio crew for our 5-day soap opera. let me know if you wanna
do that.

Hi everyone,
DCU FM is nearly upon us and i hope everyone has their shows in order. We
will be broadcasting from Meeting Room 3 in the Clubs and Societies area
of the Hub so if you don't know where it is, find out before you go on air.
WORKSHOP
This Wednesday 5th MARCH we will be having a presentation skills workshop
in CG11 at 2.30pm. The people from Spin FM are sending out some of their
top DJS to give us a crash course in how to do present shows. This will
be a great opportunity for those of us doing live shows this year.
Also, if anyone needs help to get some stuff recorded before going on air,
give us a shout.

The launch party for dcufm is on next Thursday 6th February at 8pm in McTurkels
on Tara St. It's just down the road from Fireworks and for those of you
who don't know it, have a look at the map at this address:

Hope you can all make it! There'll be free food and drink and plenty of
craic. Drinks are purely on a first-come-first-served basis so come early
if you want to make the most of it!

Hi everyone
The launch party for DCUfm is on next thursday the 6th February at 8pm in
McTurkels pub on Tara Streeet. For those of you that don't know it, it's
on the corner of Townsend Street, which is just down the road from Fireworks
(towards the river).
So mark the date down in your diaries! It should be good craic and more
importantly, there'll be free food and drink. But come early because the
drinks are purely on a first-come-first-served basis!

P.S. The attached map will give you an idea of where it is if you don't
know McTurkels. It's no 30 on the map.
here it is finally, the timetable, YAY!!! and it took me all night i'm feckin
knackered. take a look at it and check that your time and date of your
show is ok. if there's some important personal commitment that means you
can't do it at a certain time or day then let me know so i can switch you.
if it's just to do with a lecture then there shouldn't be a problem, lecturers
always understand missing classes for DCUfm. it would just be impossible
for me to arrange the shows around peoples timetables. so EMAIL ME AND CONFIRM
THAT YOUR TIME AND DAY IS SUITABLE ASAP!
also if there's a certain name you want to call your show or i've described
your show wrongly then let me know and i'll change it!
MOST IMPORTANTLY, you need to email me and let me know if you need a producer
for your show as in someone to work the desk for you if your show is live.
or maybe you've already arranged someone already to do it for you so just
let me know as i'm making up a seperate timetable for producers this week.

Hope you've recovered from the best trip ever!!! Just wanted to let y'all
know that there's a careers talk tonight in the Henry Grattan for all us
wasters, its for ppl interested in journalism, multimedia and communications.

Ok guys, this is really important.
Everyone going on the trip will be meeting at Bus Áras at 1.30pm tomorrow
afternoon, so see yas there.
THOSE WHO HAVE NOT PAID:
We must have the exact numbers going on the trip by this evening. If you
are unable to meet Rebekah upstairs in the Hub at 5pm this evening, it is
vital that you call her on (086) 852 8342. Otherwise, we will have to cancel
your booking. The hostel need to be informed tonight of numbers. Some
people have still not paid or contacted us, we can take money at the bus
tomorrow, but only from those who have contacted Rebekah. If any of you
know friends who are going but have not paid, would you give them a quick
call to make sure they know about this arrangement, just in case they don't
check their mail and miss out.
