Hey people,
Needless to say last night was a bit crazy...I along with other people got

photos of the night and if you have a problem with then being in an Tarbh
next Monday-pah!
Enjoy the storm thats coming;)
Was asked to forward this on to people interested in the media. Might be
good experience.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
13.10.04
Details of Ireland's most dynamic festival, the Darklight Digital
Festival, will be announced next week.
The 5-year old Darklight Digital Festival is the newest brat on the
block for innovative digital films and artworks, and this year kicks
off with even more films, music videos and animation than ever
before.
The experimental creators in this festival have continually
challenged international audiences, and this year with the most
evolved programme yet, promises to be no exception.
Highlights of this year's festival include animated stories of
macabre circus love, a one-meter high steel wrecking ball that you
can activate and then avoid plus a banquet of free workshops and
seminars to engage even the most seasoned of digital media makers.
Darklight, the only festival of its kind in Ireland, is being held
this year in Dublin's creative village - The Digital Hub on
Thomas
Street. This 5-day digital festival kicks off on the 17th-21st
November and brings to the Liberties, Darklight's pioneering
reputation by transforming the inner city buildings into a cinema,
gallery, games arcade and discussion arena where projections, sound
installations and an interactive art programme will take place.
The festival runs from the 17th ? 21st of November 2004, with the
exhibition continuing until mid December.
For a detailed programme and Press pack log on to www.darklight-filmfestival.com . A Darklight screening sneak preview tape is also
available for Press upon request.

Hey,
You've prob read the email from Sinead so you know we are having meetings
next week.
The DCU TV meeting will be at 3 on Wednesday in cg12.
What we will be basically doing is throwing out ideas for programmes.
Lorraine (Programmes officer) has a few ideas already so we will start organising
crews.
But i reallly need people to come up with their own ideas. If you have a
script or anything bring it along. We are not restricted to Short films
alone , we can more or less do anything, e.g, tv studio work, documentaries.
Also, you have any preferred roles: presenter, camera person. lighting etc,
we will take note of this at the meeting and try to accomodate you when
we begin our production.
I'll try to bring a couple of our programmes to show if I can, if not check
out the website.
Email me if you have any queries or ideas.
Thanx

Hi,
Just a few things that we need to let you know about:
If you need to contact the committee, you can do so by emailing us at: mps-committee(a)lists.redbrick.dcu.ie
The DCU FM and DCU TV are having programme meetings on Wednesday the 27th.
The DCU FM one at two, and the DCU TV one at 3. It will be held in cg12.
We will be electing the DCU FM tech officer at this meeting.
Our first night out is next Tuesday in Voodoo. You've prob seen the posters
around. We will be showing horror films while a dj plays. It would be really
cool if you could dress up with the whole horror film theme. There is a
prize for best costume.
It was a really good night last year: the drink was flowing but the beer
goggles still didnt hide the monsters.
Doors will open at 9, and tickets are on sale Tuesday in the hub: €3.
Thanks
Sinead
