Hey, i'm really sorry but we've had to cancel the media 100 workshop.
The JR3s have an assignment due in on friday so I would rather postpone
till next week.
I would rather have the room free to use all the comps so ppl could get
some practical experience, and it wouldnt be fair to hog them on the jrs.
If you know of anyone who wanted to go, will you let them know it was cancelled.
I'm really sorry, and hope this doesnt inconvenience anyone.
Thanx

hey guys,
The first 20 people who reply back to me -( to me that is, not the list!!)
get tickets to participate in the audience for 'The Cafe'- thursday the
9th December. Basically it's a show on ID2, audiences get the chance t be
interactive, you may get the chance to meet some great people, it's an excellent
opportunity to see the making and filming of a live production and you get
free coffee!!Claire McManus, the show's assistnat producer will also give
a tour of RTE. You'll have to make your own transport there and back and
you'd be wanted from 4 till 8ish!!
let me know.. there's plenty of places from the thursday's here on after
aswell,so if you're not available on the 9th don't worry i'm sure you'll
get a second chance!!

If you want to learn more goto google.com and go searching.

Basically they look for 3min shorts, no editing. If good enough they could
be in Cannes, Vancouver film festivals or screened on Channel 4.
Please have a read on their webpage and if you have any questions e-mail
myself.
In regards eqipment, cameras are cheap but can only be found on ebay between
10 (yes 10) and 200 euro. If there is much of an interest amoung all you
members I'm hoping MPS could fund a little here and there for a couple more
cameras.
Thanks for you time.
Michael

We are going to have a media 100 workshop this wed at 2 in c123.
Ideally this is for jrs, and css as they use this stuff in their own projects.
But if anyone is else is interested please do come. We are gonna go over
the D9 camera: even though this is a more awkward older camera, you might
be interested as it uses digi-beta.
Hope to see you there
Thanx

Hi there people,
I'm very sorry about this email if you aren't interested.
There are more auditions for male characters in the short film 'Mating Rituals'for
all those guys who couldn't make it last week due to other important stuff
(drinking...football...eating...sleeping...).
So a few people were asking me to hold more for those guys who couldn't
make it. They will be on at 7:30pm until 9pm in CG03 on Monday 33nd November.
Any questions, you can repply to this email address: karen.howley2(a)mail.dcu.ie
Here's a brief description of the male characters in the short comedy. Please
note that physical appearance is not important.
Dave Irwin
A really enthusiastic in your face guy who loves wild life and has way too
much energy. He is humourous for this reason.
Trigger
Trigger fancies himself as a bit of a ladies man and he?s all hyped up excited
and cocky when he goes out.
Mick
He?s never had any problem meeting women and is generally found in a GAA
football jersey.
Anto
Anto is a small guy who is a bit shy and timid, but a bit of a loveable
character when you get talking to him, with a really dirty sense of humour
that?s always getting him into trouble.
Hey guys,
Just a quick reminder to you all that the lighting workshop is on tonight
after Ruth Scotts presentation in the Glassroom. So hopefully we will be
starting around eight. The Glassroom is upstairs in the hub just past USIT
beside the barbers. See you there,
David
