Hi guys,
Well the MPS year is drawing to a close...all together now AAAHHHH!!...
But we did have a fantastic year of Media Production, between all the workshops,
guest speakers, nights out, table quiz, societies week, dcuFM, Hybrid and
culminating last night in the fantastic launch night of dcuTV online.
All the TV programmes that you have made this year for dcuTV are available
now and forever on our website to watch, www.mediaproductionsociety.tk
Last night was a fantastic success with screenings of the programmes in
the bar and then with bands and DJs and a raffle! in the Village.
I would like to say thank you to all of you for getting involved with us
this year, you all made the MPS the success that it was this year. Yes,
We did win best society in DCU this year!!!!
I would also like to say thank you to the wonderful MPS committee that I
have had the pleasure to work with all this year. This committee was the
most dedicated, loyal and hard-working team that you could ask for!
If you are around next year, i'd encourage you to go on supporting the Media
Production Society.
Personnally i have had the most fantasic year as chair and have enjoyed
every minute of it!
On behalf of this years MPS committee, i wish you all the best of luck in
both your exams and your future.
Thank You,
The MPS committee 2003/2004.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of Clontaff Castle last night will know that
our own lil society was crowned Best Society in DCU at the Clubs and Society
awards last night!!!
Its a great honour and a testament to all the work put in by all our members
over the year. So Thanks and well done everyone!!!
Also, last night our chairperson Ms Sarah Mulkerrins was awarded a first
five individual award for her contribution to society life in DCU. Im sure
everyone in the society will have to agree with me that no award was ever
so deserved. Sarah has made the mps her religion for the year (!) and her
dedication and tireless energy have been evident all year. I told her this
last night (but I highly doubt she remembers it, teeheee!) she is a credit
not only to the MPS but to DCU as a whole. Fair play to ya girl!!!
The hits just keep on coming folks-see ye at Showcase next week and we'll
celebrate our win in style!!!
Good day,
The MPS Showcase screenings for DCUtv will be taking place on the 29th April.
Check the MPS website ( http://www.mediaproductionsociety.tk ) for details.
For programmes to be included, they will need to be submitted to our tech
officer Aidan Bell ( aidan.bell4(a)mail.dcu.ie ) by wednesday of this week.
Good luck with your final last minute editing,
Peter...
