MPS are having a contest to create a poster to advertise DCU FM! It may
be used for a bus poster on the bus stop outside DCU and around campus.

Hey there,
Just to let you all know, MPS are holding a DCU TV meeting this Wednesday
the 9th Feb in CG01, Henry Grattan building from 2 - 3 pm. Anyone and everyone
interested in production for our DCU TV screening on March 23rd should attend
to be assorted into crews etc. Again, we're looking for editors, camera
men(and women!) lighting experts, sound techies, producers, directors, script
writers, presenters and researchers.Experience not necessary! This is a
brill opportunity to get your work seen by professionals but with only 5
or 6 weeks to go unitl the showcase finale,(and the Hybrid awards)time is
running out..so make sure you all make the effort to attend,there won't
be a second meeting. see you all then

Hey!
DCU FM has moved to their new studio in the Information Point downstairs
in the HUB! The launch will take place on Thursday 10th February at 9pm,
followed by DJ Kev in the New Bar.
There will be a meeting next Wednesday of Week 1, at 2pm in CG29 in the
Henry Gratten. Please come if you are interested in signing up for a show.
We will be webcasting every Wednesday from Week 2, from 12-4pm, so if you're
interested in doing a show, come along and sign up for a half hour/ hour
show over the next few weeks.
We will be looking for people every week to do an Irish show, 2 music shows,
lunchtime show and current affairs/documentary. We also need people for
jingles, so if you have any ideas please bring them to us!
There will be a news bulletin every week at 1pm. Vinny Walsh is our news
editor and he will also be looking for a team for the news every week.
Anyone who has contacted me about shows for DCU FM week, I have your names
and
ideas, so theres no need to send them to me again. So start planning shows
and recording interviews etc, as we only have 5 weeks left! (7th-11th March!)
I also need people who are able to work the desk in the studio so if you're
interested in the production side, please come along to the meeting, and
meet our tech officer.
Any questions, please ask me at the meeting.

Just a quick reply to your message. I have used Super8 in my own stop frame animation and video art pieces. I have all the equipment and a lot of knowledge with regards to the application of Digital Video to Super8.
