Hey everyone
Sorry to have to send this again but could members please be careful when
replying to emails sent to the announce list.
When you press reply, the MPS committee email address is automatically entered
in the to box and therefore we get swamped with numerous emails, most of
which are not meant for the whole committee and only block up everyones mailboxes.
Most emails include an email address to contact for the specific subject
so please check emails carefully to find this and enter this in the reply
to box.
If you need to contact the committee, feel free to email the committee email
address, but if you have a specific query about radio contact katie.galvin3(a)mail.dcu.ie,
for tv contact gillian.ohea2(a)mail.dcu.ie or for anything else contact our
chairperson sarah.neville2(a)mail.dcu.ie
On a lighter note, there are only a small number of shows left for DCU fm
week so if anyone would like to do a show, please email katie.galvin3(a)mail.dcu.ie
Thanks
Gillian

'So, do you make your own clothes, eh?'

Hey all,
'Off Topic', a new college show on NEAR FM, need two panelists to represent
DCU on an ongoing basis. Great experience for getting your foot in the radio
door - I started there last year, and earned an ongoing job with Beat 102-103
(http://www.beat102103.com) and a position with Spin 103.8 as a result.
So what's it all about? NEAR FM are putting together a new intervarsity third-level
show and, consequently, they want two panelists to, basically, fight DCU's
corner when talking about random crap ("What does DCU like better - Creme
Eggs Or Creme Egg Bars?" "Should DCU be renamed Ballymun IT?" etc etc, nothing
too taxing or serious!).
There'll be no travelling involved (unless you ever wanna check out the studios
yourself), so everything will be done by phone. There might be future events
where we'd be doing live broadcasts from a satellite van during Rag Week
and fun stuff like that...but that's all further down the line.
Anyway, if you're interested in getting your name on radio or just having
a laugh for about ten minutes a week, then reply and I'll forward more specific
information.
Regards,
Noel Rock
P.S. The show starts on Wednesday, March 15th at 9pm on NEAR FM 101.6 for
anyone who's curious.
