[Announce-dcpl] Results Week 3
Good Morning all, The results from DCPL week 3 are attached. Duty Teams I'd just like to remind duty teams of their responsibilities. At least three members of your team must be on duty. A committee member will show you where all the equipment is stored. Make sure all referees sign the Sign-in sheet at the end of the match. ensure that the sidelines are cleared of all boats and only people playing the next match are permitted at poolside Record all scores on the Scoresheet and record all cards on an INCIDENT REPORT form detailing players names especially. Refereeing There will be a refereeing workshop run most likely in about 3 weeks time. All teams must be represented by at least one member of their team (their nominated referee) This will be a good chance to brush up on your knowledge of the rules of the game and also help us in providing referees for games. Results Division 1 Well Division 1 returned to Dublin League with a bang (literally!). Bazaar have taken an early lead, choosing to play with a full compliment of players. With some strong teams still to play, Division 1 is looking like being a very close fought battle this year. Division 2 With 10 teams in Division 2 this year, competition is sky high. Demons and spectre have rushed into leads in their respective groups. This friday gives some of the other teams a chance to close the gap to the leaders Division 3 Both Pyranah and Bombadas have made an unbeaten start to division 3 while last years runners up, Vipers and Mighty Ducks trailing with poor results against division 3's newer teams. Division 4 Dragon have made an impressive start to their campaign with a 100% record. Polo Mints trail by virtue of losing narrowly to dragons and having played less games. Rugrats also made a brave start narrowly losing to Dragons in their first game. With the majority of teams playing no more than 2 games, things are very tight. News A spraydeck was left behind in the pool on friday (by myself, silly me) if you happened to find it, please let me know A buoyancy aid was lost at the Irish Open. If any of the DCPL teams or people who were there come into possession of any lost items can they report them to the Equipment officer, Alan coleman (acolem@vodafone.ie). There will be an U-21 weekend taking place on the 18-19th of October in Kilcock to select a squad for the year. Please view attached information and contact trish McCormack if you are interested. Pass the information on to anyone who may be interested/available. The National Committee AGM will be taking place on the Saturday 18th October in Scoil Dara, Kilcock at 4pm. For those who compete in the national league, or have participated at any of the outdoor tournaments this year, this is your chance to make your views known and help make next year better.
