Dia duit, Its been a while which could be a good thing to many people. I just want to summarise what your committee has been up to for the first couple of weeks of the semester. 1. Internal League ------------------ Our team has improved miraculously since the start of the season. We have shown that we are capable of finishing very high in the League. However, a shock defeat last week at the hands of Ballymin 90210 upset us a lot as a win would have left us second in the League. Our next fixture is Wednesday at 3pm v Glamrock Rovers at the ususal venue. 2. Game v Liverpool Supporters ------------------------------ This is not an Internal League fixture but more like a clash of the titans! Like last year we will play Liverpool in one full game, the winners receiving proper trophies and medals. A date hasn't been fixed yet but we are in deep discussions with Liverpool for a convenient slot that Sky Sports can agree to as well. Like all our games this is open to absolutely everyone so please do come along when the date has been arranged. 3. Celtic v Dundee 15th April ----------------------------- We have yet to advertise this trip much but once we do we would hope for a bit more of an enthusiastic response from everybody. This is one brilliant trip which will be for a whole weekend with accomodation in a top class hotel in Glasgow. Details for this trip have already been sent round so if anyone is intersted then reply via e-mail so we can get a rough idea of the interest. 4. Old Firm ----------- For some pathetic and bollox reason Sky Sports are not showing the old firm next Wednesday which means our plans are completely destroyed. BBC Radio Scotland are broadcasting the game live which can be received on 810 MW if thats any consolation. With Celtic 8 points adrift the two old firm games are vital and with an encouraging 6-2 win over Dundee last night and the return of Rafael with Larsson playing in the 21's things are looking up for Celtic after all. Celtic are on Sky Sports this Sunday away to Hibs (k.o 6.05pm SS3). Anyone who wants to watch the match should come along to Quinns, Drumcondra where the club are having a get together. 5. Calendars ------------ A lot of work was put into these brilliant calendars which illustrate some of Celtic's finest moments. Given the fact that it is March we have reduced the cost of these calendars from 5 quid to 3 pounds 50. Our energetic committee will be selling them like mad so if you want one or know somebody who is in need of one then just tell us and we'll oblige. Better not keep you any longer, See you in Quinns. Adrian McEntee, Chairperson.
