Hi Elaine
Once again, apologies for the delay in getting back to you on this - I was
waiting to hear back from the photographer and the ad agency.
The casting will take place in meeting room 3 in the hub at 2pm on Wednesday. I
have booked the room until 5:30pm, but if the students could come between 2pm
and 4pm, that would be great.
Students should literally come "as they are", and be prepared to have a brief
chat, and to pose for a polaroid. In total, 3 main male/female characters are
needed, along with about 10 extras.
The shoot will take place on one day - Sunday, 12th December. I tried to move
this date, as you said quite a few students may be working, but unfortunately,
the photographer is only available on that date. Exact times etc. will be
confirmed with the actual participants later this week.
Regarding putting the actual pdfs on the web - the ad agency is a bit reluctant
to put them on the public domain at this stage - other universities are very
competitive with us etc!! However, we will have the concepts at the casting on
Wednesday, so we can talk through them with all concerned. In the meantime, if
anyone wants to drop over to my office, I would be happy to go through them with
them.
One prop we need will be a moped, if any of your members is prepared to donate
one for the shoot, it would be much appreciated. If not, I'm sure I can locate
one elsewhere.
Regarding the details of the campaign itself:
The camapign will feature on bus shelters in Dublin and key urban areas outside
of the Dublin area, the sides of buses in Dublin, poster sites at cinemas
throughout the country, print ads in CAO supplements in the Irish Times and
Irish Independent and on train carriages on the DART andARROW rail systems, and
on Dublin bus vehicles.
The campaign will run from December 27th through to January 31st.
I am meeting with the agency tomorrow. I will let them know about the MPS then -
I will then get in contact with them before the shoot date.
Once again, I would like to thank you for all your help - it is much
appreciated.
Fingers crossed for a good turnout on Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!
All the best
Deirdre
