The casting will take place in meeting room 3 in the hub at 2pm on Wednesday. I have booked the room until 5:30pm, but if the students could come between 2pm and 4pm, that would be great. Students should literally come "as they are", and be prepared to have a brief chat, and to pose for a polaroid. In total, 3 main male/female characters are needed, along with about 10 extras. The shoot will take place on one day - Sunday, 12th December. I tried to move this date, as you said quite a few students may be working, but unfortunately, the photographer is only available on that date. Exact times etc. will be confirmed with the actual participants later this week. Regarding putting the actual pdfs on the web - the ad agency is a bit reluctant to put them on the public domain at this stage - other universities are very competitive with us etc!! However, we will have the concepts at the casting on Wednesday, so we can talk through them with all concerned. In the meantime, if anyone wants to drop over to my office, I would be happy to go through them with them. One prop we need will be a moped, if any of your members is prepared to donate one for the shoot, it would be much appreciated. If not, I'm sure I can locate one elsewhere. Regarding the details of the campaign itself: The camapign will feature on bus shelters in Dublin and key urban areas outside of the Dublin area, the sides of buses in Dublin, poster sites at cinemas throughout the country, print ads in CAO supplements in the Irish Times and Irish Independent and on train carriages on the DART andARROW rail systems, and on Dublin bus vehicles. The campaign will run from December 27th through to January 31st. I am meeting with the agency tomorrow. I will let them know about the MPS then - I will then get in contact with them before the shoot date. Once again, I would like to thank you for all your help - it is much appreciated. Fingers crossed for a good turnout on Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!! All the best Deirdre Elaine Bannon wrote:
Hey
I need that info and PDF soon otherwise I'll have to send out our mail on its own. The sooner we let people know about it the sooner they can make arrangements to be there.

Hi Elaine
My name is Deirdre Wynter, and I work as the Marketing Officer here at the University.
Our advertising agency, DDFH&B has come up with a concept for our upcoming advertising campaign, which is aimed at school leavers, that involves the use of real students in the creative. We would love to be able to use members of the DCU Drama Soc in the campaign, if they would be willing to help.
The camapign will feature on bus shelters in Dublin and key urban areas outside of the Dublin area, the sides of buses in Dublin, poster sites at cinemas throughout the country, print ads in CAO supplements in the Irish Times and Irish Independent and on train carriages on the DART and ARROW rail systems.
The proposed date for casting is the afternoon of Wednesday, 8th December here on campus. Photography would take place on Friday, December 10th and Sunday, December 12th.
The agency have agreed to work on posters that could be used to publicise the casting and the campaign to your members.
I understand Elaine that you are having a meeting of the drama soc next Monday at 6pm. I would be willing to come along to the meeting to show actual samples of the creative and to explain the campaign in more detail, or to meet you earlier in the day to show you the creative, if that would suit better.
In return for featuring your members in the campaign, we would be like to make a donation to your society.
I hope you will be in a position to help us out - I think it would be a great experience for all concerned, as the concept is very clever and fun. The photographer is a top professional photographer based here in Dublin, who has worked on many high profile national and international advertising campaigns.
