Hello Fotosocers! Exciting stuff happening next week - Photography Week!! Our timetable looks like this so far: Monday - Launch at 7pm with cheese and wine reception, speakers and more. Here beginners get given a disposable camera to take photos around campus during the week and a chance to win prizes! Tuesday - Trip to the Irish Museum of Modern Art Wednesday - Technical and Composition workshop with Des and Dave at 2pm, an action-packed Scavenger Hunt at 3pm (with more fabulous prizes) and a PhotoShop workshop with Donal at 5pm! Thursday - it all starts to wind down, with our prize-giving ceremony with speaker Alan Betson, an award-winning photographer from the Irish Times. Also on Thursday, we are teaming up with Debate Soc to hold a debate with the motion "The Photograph should be taken whatever the cost" investigating the ethics behind photography. If anyone is interested in arguing for this motion, please let me know! Even if you've never debated before, it should be quite informal and great fun! Please keep submitting the photos, the exhibition will be up all around college all week! T-Shirts will soon be forthcoming, I'll let you know soon.
