Hi all! just a quick note to let you know that the Maths Intervarsities, hosted this year by TCD, will be held in March, and anyone interested in competing should come along to the DCU trial in QG02 at 8pm on Tuesday 20th Feb (next Tues). All that is required is a leaving cert standard of maths. Also postgraduate students are also welcome. Also congratulations to Shane Hurle and Jackie Ho who were runners up in the Maths Soc 1'st Semester Pool League, and winners of £50. They put up a wonderful performance throughout the competition but were beaten in the final by Denis Eivers and Paddy McEvoy who won the £100 first prize! Regards, Paula lenahan
