Hey all, Semester 2 is in full swing now, so here's what's happening in the coming weeks. -Admin Training -Science Hackday -Tech Week -Chromebook Testing --Admin Training-- Admin Training returns this week on Tuesday at 6:00 pm in LG25. The topic will be "Installing an Ubuntu Server". --Science Hackday-- Registration for the Science Hackday is closed now. For whoever registered, it's on next weekend in The Hub. --Tech Week-- Tech Week is on starting March 5th. With talks from various associate members and plenty of other activities, it should be a fun week! More information about the various talks will be included in next weekend's announcement. --Chromebook Testing-- EngSoc and Redbrick, in association with the Engineering and Computing Faculty, are offering you the chance to test a Google Chromebook this semester. There are 30 in total to distribute to various members of Redbrick and EngSoc. To be in with a chance to test a Chromebook, fill in the attached form and send it to dcuengineeringsoc(a)gmail.com Forms must be submitted before Friday March 2nd. If accepted, you'll be responsible for the Chromebook until the end of the semester, and at the end you will fill out a quick survey for the chance to win a prize. That's all for now! Hey guys, With exam results out of the way, here's what's happening in the coming weeks: -Science Hackday -Cork Programming Competition -Admin Training -AMS Brony Party --Science Hackday-- Just a reminder that the Science Hackday will be held in The Hub on March 3rd & 4th. It's a free event, and it should be great fun. Minerva to go offline this Wednesday

Hi all, This Wednesday we will be taking Minerva offline. We will be using her to provide event services at the Science Hack Day Dublin (http://sciencehackdaydublin.com) in a few weeks time. We ask members who have any crontabs, left over from the move to Azazel back in April, to make sure they are moved, now, before we take Minerva offline. If you don't see this email in time it will be possible to restore you crontab from a backup, if needed. After Science Hack Day Dublin, Minerva will be back accepting user logins again but as a Windows Server instead. Week 2

Hello all, Before this week'ss announce, our chairperson would like to send a quick message to all the members. When the news that our close friend Paul was missing I was in Brussels as part of a Redbrick trip and, like many others I have spoken to, couldn't believe it was true. It was incredible to watch as our members, without being prompted or asked or pushed, dropped everything and worked together to help and find him. From getting people to retweet to getting the article to page 2 on Reddit, it was all so amazing to watch. It was a deeply humbling experience. I feel incredibly proud of the members of Redbrick for all the continued work in searching for bunbun. As most of you are aware he was last seen on Thursday the 2nd of February and has not been seen since. Myself and the whole committee would like to thank all of Redbrick's members wholeheartedly for pulling together the way you are. Let's keep looking and raising awareness as much as possible. Thanks again, tziegler I'm sure I speak for us all when I say we all hope that Paul returns soon, safe and sound. Missing member Paul Bunbury (bunbun)

Hi all, One of our members has been reported as missing to the Gardai. If anyone has seen Paul Bunbury(bunbun) since Thursday at approx. 4pm can they please either contact Whitehall Garda Station on 011 666 4500 or get in touch with us. His family are very worried about him. Any information about his whereabouts since Thursday at 4pm will be greatly appreciated.
