Services Down

Good morning all, All user services running on zeus (the Redbrick Docker host) are currently down. This includes: * docs.redbrick.dcu.ie * git.redbrick.dcu.ie * md.redbrick.dcu.ie * mastodon.redbrick.dcu.ie * paste.redbrick.dcu.ie * wetty.redbrick.dcu.ie At first we believed it to be an issue with a Let's Encrypt rate limit, but now we believe it is a separate issue with Traefik itself. The admins are currently investigating the situation in the hopes of restoring services as soon as possible.. We will communicate any updates as we find them. Regards, James McDermott (~mctastic). Pygmalion Status

Good afternoon all, After some unscheduled downtime Redbrick's development server Pygmalion is back online and is available to all members once again. Pygmalion now runs Ubuntu 18.04 and we encourage members at this time to contact the current Redbrick admins (email admins(a)redbrick.dcu.ie (mailto:admins@redbrick.dcu.ie)) if they find anything out of place. Alternatively, you can make your issue known in the #rbadmin channel on IRC. This outage will be detailed in a soon to be written postmortem. Downtime tomorrow morning from 11:00

Hi Everyone, Just a reminder that there will be a period of scheduled downtime from tomorrow morning starting from 11:00. During this downtime, connectivity will be intermittent as the Redbrick network will be reconfigured to ensure future upgrades do not suffer from unexpected outages. We do not expect this downtime to extend into Sunday. Scheduled Downtime

Good afternoon, There will be a period of scheduled downtime from tomorrow morning. During this downtime, Redbrick rootholders will make upgrades in regards to power delivery and network storage. Redbrick Downtime - May 3rd 2019

At around 16:50 this afternoon, Redbrick suffered a hardware failure on one of our primary servers. The server in question, Paphos, is responsible for hosting both user authentication and DNS, and this failure led to the unavailability of all services for about half an hour. While the root cause of the problem has not been identified yet, we are happy to report that all services are back online once again. Kind regards, James McDermott (~mctastic).
