Hello all, I'd like to begin this email by thanking Lotta Mikkonen (attol) and Paul Bunbury (bunbun) for their work as secretary and admin respectively. On behalf of everyone, thank you both. Undergraduate Awards -Movie Night -Intersocs LAN --Committee Changes-- Congratulations to Craig Duff (duff) and Shane Stacey (isaac702), as they have been elected as helpdesk and admin respectively. Good luck to you both! --Timelady's Resignation-- I am sad to announce the resignation of Meabh Landers (timelady) from the position of PRO. Her work was greatly appreciated, and she will be missed. If you feel like running for PRO, she has volunteered to give any information to people who would like it, so feel free to get in touch with her. --Trip Info-- There are still places left on the February trip to FOSDEM in Brussels. The cost for flights, accommodation, internal travel, and entry to the planetarium is €90, and must be paid in full by Tuesday 29th of November. Further details can be found in the itinerary attached to this email. If you wish to go on the trip, please email mak@redbrick.dcu.ie to arrange a time to pay. You will need your passport number and €90. --Christmas Party-- The Christmas party details will take place on Tuesday 8th of December. More info will follow in next week's announcement. --"What's the Bright Idea?" Undergraduate Awards-- The Undergraduate Awards are holding an event on Monday 5th of December entitled "What's the Bright Idea?". With guest speakers such as Caroline Casey - the founder of Kanchi - and Maria Parodi - the Deputy Lord Mayor - as well as spot prizes, live music, snacks, and visual art, this promises to be a fantastic night. Places are limited, so if you are interested in attending, follow the instructions at http://www.undergraduateawards.com/ before Wednesday 30th of November! --Movie Night-- On Tuesday night, in conjunction with Strange Things, we're showing both Tron and Tron: Legacy.
