Hey all, Welcome to Redbrick, here's what you'll find details of in this week's mail: - Freshers Ball: October 11th in Radio City from 9pm - Helpdesk Workshop: October 10th in LG01 from 2.30pm - Downtime this weekend - New Website launch! -- Freshers Ball -- The annual Redbrick Freshers Ball will be taking place next Thursday, October 11th in Radio City. We'll have a live band playing and a following DJ afterwards, with a late bar running on the night. Games Soc will even be present, providing some console gaming for everyone. Always one of our biggest events of the year, it kicks off at 9pm on Thursday and entry is free for all members, so come along and enjoy the fun! -- Helpdesk Workshop -- Before you go to the Freshers Ball, you can learn how to use your Redbrick account! The Helpdesk team will be onhand to teach you about all of Redbrick's features and answer any questions you have to ask. There'll even be free food afterwards :) The Workshop will be running at 2.30pm this Wednesday. -- Downtime -- As work on the new server continues there will be some unavoidable downtime this weekend. Redbrick should be inaccessible from 12pm on Saturday until about 12pm the next day while the admins are at work. One of the benefits of this downtime will be the setting of the new storage quota (with webtree and home unified) of 1gb per user! :) -- New Website -- We'll also be launching the new Redbrick website this weekend, which will feature a great new design and include a brand new web interface for the Redbrick boards plus a committee section (committee.redbrick.dcu.ie) which will be used to keep everyone up to date with what's going on in Redbrick.
