Google Code Retreat

A group of engineers from Google have invited us to an all-day workshop focused on the craft of programming on Saturday the 16th of February from 09:50 to approx 17:30. The workshop uses a well-known format called Code Retreat. This involves pairs of programmers repeatedly solving the same problem multiple times while thinking carefully about different aspects of the art of coding, testing, commenting and version control. If you're interested this is what they need from you: The ability to write and run code (Preferably) Laptop and power supply with a working development environment(s) for a preferred programming language. Hash Code

Google’s team-based programming competition, Hash Code, allows you to share your skills and connect with other coders as you work together to solve a problem modeled off a real Google engineering challenge! In small teams of two to four, coders all over the world will tackle the first problem through an Online Qualification Round. Though this round is hosted online, teams can come together to compete side-by-side in locally coordinated Hash Code hubs. One of which will be hosted in DCU on the 28th of February. The top teams from this round are invited to an international Google office for our annual Hash Code Final Round! If you want anymore info on Hash Code please look at this link: https://codingcompetitions.withgoogle.com/hashcode/
