The Redbrick mail system is changing on Monday August 4th. Your mail will no longer be delivered to a ~/.mailspool file, instead it will be delivered to a directory called ~/Maildir/. This change will allow us to offer IMAP/Webmail services to our members. (For more information about Maildir format consult: http://cr.yp.to/proto/maildir.html ) On August 4th, all Redbrick members will automatically be converted to the new format. (We ask procmail users to convert earlier if possible, details in a seperate mail) If you are a mutt/pine user with a special configuration file (~/.muttrc or ~/.pinerc) then you will be required to change your configuration files manually. After the conversion sample files will be placed in ~/.muttrc.suggested and ~/.pinerc.suggested. Failure to make the required changes could result in not being able to read newly delivered mail. Assistance in converting your mail and/or editing your configuration files is available from here: http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/help/the_big_move/procmail/ http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/help/the_big_move/mailers/ If still in doubt about what changes to make contact the helpdesk team who are available to assist and may be contacted at helpdesk@redbrick.dcu.ie .
