Hi folks,

On Saturday the 14th of December, a migration of the Apache Web Server will take place. This is being done for a few reasons, such as upgrading to a newer version of PHP, upgrading to the latest Apache version and all the security patches which come with doing so.

As part of this, Pubcookie will be deprecated and no longer unsupported. This will not affect any of Redbrick's services that currently use Pubcookie. If you own a site on Redbrick which uses Pubcookie for authentication, please contact us for support. If you have no idea what Pubcookie is, you can ignore this entirely.

We expect the resulting downtime to not extend beyond Saturday, but as always we reserve the right to extend this window if required.

Along with this, from the weekend on, Redbrick run a new front end for webchat called TheLounge. This will be available from https://webchat.redbrick.dcu.ie
