Microsoft at Redbrick! DevOps, Warts and all!

DevOps, Warts and All! Everything in Microsoft happens at scale, taking DevOps and scaling it up to work within a large company like Microsoft has been an interesting challenge. This talk will look at how engineers within Microsoft apply DevOps practices to build and run some of the largest products and services on the planet. How has DevOps changed how Microsoft operates, how do we do it currently and where do we go next. Brendan Cleary has been a software engineer with Microsoft for 6 years. He is currently an Engineering Lead on the Microsoft News team and has worked across the stack on everything from backend services to large scale frontend web development. Before joining Microsoft Brendan worked on software engineering and malware analysis tools research, he is the co-founder of two start-ups and has a Ph.D. in computer science.
