Hi everyone! Welcome back to what will hopefully be another great year with Redbrick! We hope you've had a great summer and are enjoying college so far! ==System Maintenance== ==Clubs and Socs Days== ==Common Room Cards== ==.NET Rocks== ==Intro to Redbrick & Fresher's Ball== ==GamesSoc Freshers Party== ==EGM== ==System Maintenance== The Admins will be doing some maintenance to non-critical systems over the course of the weekend. We don't foresee there being any impact on users; that being said we apologise in advance for any disruption that may be caused in preparations for the coming year. As a precaution we would request that users backup any data they have and do not start any important processes over the weekend. ==Clubs and Socs Days== Date: Monday 7th - Wednesday 9th October Time: 10am - 4pm Location: The Hub Members of our committee will be in the Hub next week to take signups from new members and to renew current members' accounts. Current members should note that accounts will remain active until the 1st of November, so please renew your account before then. Make sure to keep an eye out for us in the Hub and feel free to come over for a chat and maybe even some sweets! ==Common Room Cards== As many of you may have noticed, all cards for the Redbrick and EngSoc common room N109 have been deactivated. These cards need to be handed back to the common room committee as soon as possible so that new cards can be distributed. New cards will hopefully be distributed late next week or early in week three. In the meantime you can return old cards to either Fructus (Andrew Boylan) or myself if you happen to meet us, or any of our LOVELY committee members. ==.NET Rocks== Date: Tuesday 8th October Time: 1-6pm Location: The Helix Website: bit.ly/1f6kRe0 The presenters of the .NET Rocks podcast, Carl Franklin and Richard Campbell will be in DCU on Tuesday to record an edition of their podcast and to give talks throughout the day. As well as this, our old friend Josh Holmes (who some may remember from 1st year DICE events) will be back in the country to talk about some Web Development. So if you want to listen to a whole host of really enthusiastic and talented Developers you should get on down to .NET Rocks.
