Hi Everybody, Welcome to the week 10 announce! I'm really sorry for the late announce! Hopefully our awesome events this week make up for it! We would like to say a huge thanks to everybody for the huge interest in FOSDEM. We now have more than a full roster of people interested in coming along with us at the end of January. It promises to be a fantastic trip. In this weeks announce: - Helpdesk@Redbrick: How To Build a PC - Cinema Trip: The Imitation Game ============================== Helpdesk@Redbrick: How To Build a PC ============================== + When: Wednesday the 26th November at 3pm + Where: L101 + Description: The Redbrick Helpdesk and Admin teams will be joining forces to give you a quick guide on how to build a PC. From power considerations and parts requirements we'll be there to show you what to get and why, and once you have the parts, how you put them together. We'll be on hand to talk through the things you should consider when building something from a home PC to a server. This is going to be a really interesting talk so be sure to come along! We look forward to seeing you all there! ========================= Cinema Trip: The Imitation Game ========================= We have two choices of cinema: either the Savoy at 5.45pm or Santry at 6.30pm. If you could email us to let us know if you're going and what time you'd prefer to go at we will pick the cinema that suits the most people. It will cost €5.50 in either cinema. + When: Thursday 27th + Description: Genius British logician and cryptologist Alan Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch) helps crack Germany's Enigma Code during World War II but is later prosecuted by his government for illegal homosexual acts.
