Hi, Lotta here. Just an update on a few things we've got coming up! On Friday 7th October CSD have announced downtime from 18.00 - 00.00. This may continue until early Saturday morning. All DCU computing services, including RedBrick, will be affected. The admins have also decided to update our servers at this time to cause minimal disruption. This means that you will have to start a new screen when service is restored. Friday 7th October - http://www.toys4bigboys.ie/ So RedBrick is going down for 6 hours on this day. Whatever will you do?! Don't despair! Robot Rumble, quad bikes, the latest gadgets for your home and - if those don't take your fancy- there's also a fashion show(?!) If you're interested in going email the committee (committee@redbrick.dcu.ie) Meet in the Hub at 1pm on Friday afternoon. We will get the bus from there to the RDS. Tickets 8 euros for members / 20 for associates Thursday 13th October - Finland Meeting I will be sending out an email to all those going with further details. Friday 14th October - Pub trip! http://www.woolshedbaa.com/ 8pm onwards. The Woolshed, Parnell St. (Right next to UGC Cinema) We have reserved an area here and there will be some finger food available. Beer is available in pitchers and they have some of the soundest bar staff in Dublin. The Christmas event - All will be revealed soon... And don't forget, we've also got weekly Helpdesk talks, which Train will keep you up to date on. An advanced Linux workshop is being run on Tuesday November 4th. That's all from me for now.
